I never solved mine, I had to change my theme. Solution I think is to not use themes that use the #! system.

Thanks, but I can’t show the site as it uses a plugin that shows a splash page instead. I don’t know enough about PHP and Ajax to do the redirect.

Turns out it is a broken theme (Adorable) and everyone who has bought it has had problems but I don’t think we’re getting refunds!

I’ve done some more research and I have learnt that this is a hashbang. If anyone can help me to safely remove this structure that would be great as it is breaking my site.

I’m not an expert but no-one else is biting so I’ll tell you what I do when that happens. First you need to identify which file you edited, then you need to find the original file in your theme folder (I think it will be index.php), then you need to replace the bad file with the original one using ftp or your web hosts file manager. If you had made a lot of changes to you index.php file then all of these changes will be undone using my method.

In general, don’t edit any php files using the wordpress editor unless you are an expert, and if you must, make sure you make a copy of the file that you’re editing first so you can re-upload it via ftp if you make a mistake.

I was actually hoping to have the featured post in the Smooth Slider appear only in the slider and not as a post below. I.E I do not want the post to duplicate. As you can see from the code, the theme doesn’t duplicate the posts, but when I add in smooth slider, the post do duplicate.

I did read that article previously and I have attempted to edit my index3.php code with the tutorial “Multiple Loops in Action” but I haven’t had any luck. If anyone could point me to which code I should replace with the code in the tutorial, I would be so grateful.
