Actually no need to answer the the last questions. I have decided to work out how to use the plugin to keep the home page static with slider as you mentioned above.

Just one other thing. My website doesn’t appear the same way on i-phone. do I also need a plugin or widget for that?

Getting somewhere, except thumbnail gallery missing below the slider as in the demo template. Also the slider isn’t changing photos.!

I have set photos visibility “stick post to front page”
Have set photos as “featured posts”
And The photos are “featured-thumbnail”

Should I set as “slider-nav-thumbnail” instead?

If I use that template for feature slider, can i make the first post sticky? or do I need a plug in for that?

If the front page has to be a posts page for feature slider can I make the first post “sticky” so always remains at top of page?

Have been playing around and haven’t found “sticky’ post option anywhere.

Apologies for asking on your forum but I can’t figure out how to begin my own forum, there is no link to it on the support page. – strange.

I too am looking for advice on themeing. I was using Oxygen but ran into some problems with it so I am wondering if anyone can recommend a similar theme.

I like the look of WP opulus. I am an amateur so looking for something relatively straightforward. it’s for a healthy living magazine style & blog.

o.k. thanks for your help.. I don’t really understand what that is… Very new to this. Thought it would be more user friendly.. Can you tell me what an FTP is and where.. Is it something to do with the hosting company?

I downloaded it from wordpress.It was pretty straight forward – “download theme” Then “install”..
I was told to delete it as was having a problem with header photo and I changed some of the theme settings. Now I can’t reinstall it… i am given an option to update the theme and thats all. I have oxygen in a zip file but I am not given an option to even use the zip file.
Any idea how to get oxygen back on my site…?

P.s This is the message I am getting on my theme page.

I deleted the oxygen theme except it is stil stored on the website somewhere. How do I completely delete. Until I do that i cannot install. at the moment it tells me to install Oxygen from my zip file but I also deleted the file from my computer.

o.k. I think i am getting this. so if I do that will I be able work on the layout of the theme i.e the header photo etc to be similar to https://mywayofeating.wordpress.com/
OR… should I choose another theme. any suggestions.?

(It baffles me why the .org oxygen theme is less user friendly than .com theme)
