Hi Jeremy,
After reading lots of other strings on forums I finally did figure it out. It was a Google Chrome extension that I did not install/enable. Once I got rid of it, it all worked. I can’t remember the name of the extension but I had not seen it mentioned as a problem elsewhere. The extension was supposed to make Chrome faster and more secure!

I have the same problem. The old landing page appears instead of the updated one , and the “Recent Entries” list is old. If a link is selected and then I return to the Home page, the new landing page appears, and the “Recent Entries is up-to-date.

I am sorry if I didn’t make myself clear – originally I did copy and paste my HTML code into the HTML editor (text mode). Then I updated the page, and then the extra lines appeared.
