In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Credit Card Feild is not working.@carolm29, negative. @noobieboy solution does not solve the problem. @brightcherrydesign is right; when I logout as an admin the problem appears again.
I am using the Enfold theme. I need a fix for this asap.
Thank you.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Credit Card Feild is not working. After updating to 8.3.1, I had the same problem. If a customer hadn’t alerted me to the problem, I wouldn’t have known. Not good.
Also, this tired old argument of “it’s a conflict, so it is the responsibility of the website owner to turn off/turn on plugins, set to the theme to default, etc., i.e., someone else is to blame” has to stop.
I reset the plugin to version to 8.3 and it works… so CLEARLY IT IS A PROBLEM WITH v. 8.3.1.
If anyone out there has the same issue, you can download the v. 8.3 here:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/releases/tag/8.3.0Also, I’ve turned off ‘auto-update’ for this plugin.
I’m submitting it again:
Thank you for the update. I’ve figured out what is happening.
First, 3.1.6 now correctly shows a list of categories… but not all of them. The ones missing are the ones that are hidden as a result of the plugin I use called “Hide Categories and Products for Woocommerce”.
I’ll explain: I have products that expire, meaning my products are sign-ups for drawing and painting lessons, for example life drawing. Because Woo Commerce shows all categories in the shop, I needed a way to remove a specific lesson once the date had passed: I use the “Hide Categories and Products for Woocommerce” plugin to hide categories like “Archive Life Drawing” and PublishPress to change the category from “Life Drawing” to “Archive Life Drawing” after a specific date and time so that the product/lesson is pulled from the shop.
In previous versions there was no conflict and I would see all available categories listed with a checkbox. Now in the search field I only see the categories that are not hidden. So, whatever call or function you are using to query the db to retrieve the categories for the search box is not the same as what was happening when a list with checkboxes was produced, and this new code is obviously in conflict with or impeded by the ‘hidden’ designation of the other plugin.
To be clear: when I deactivate the ‘Hide Categories’ plugin, I properly see all categories.
I hope that all makes sense. If more information is needed please let me know.
Given that there wasn’t any conflict in previous versions, is there an easy fix for this? Please advise.
Thank you.
Note: in response to my previous post, I just received the following message:
“Your post is being held for moderation by our automated system and will be manually reviewed by a volunteer as soon as possible.
No action is needed on your part at this time, and you do not need to resubmit your message.”
Why did that happen?

Negative. The new beta does not solve the problem.
This screenshot shows you “Archive” typed into the search field… with no results:
This screenshot shows you that there are many categories that begin with “Archive”:
Bear in mind that in version 2.7.8 (and for several versions after), I do see a list of all categories. I’m not sure what function you are using now to ‘call’ for the categories, but whatever you are doing now clearly isn’t working. And I still maintain that a list of categories with checkboxes is better than having to search for them.
Is there one specific place in the code where I can overwrite and then swap the search field for a checkbox list? Or is such a wish an oversimplification of a problem that would require many edits to the code? (I have dabbled in PHP, but I am in no way a programmer.)
Thank you.

I now have an active staging site. Apologies for the delay.
Error(s) are still there for 3.1.5. I will install the new beta as instructed and report back.
Thank you.
Good idea. I can do that. Unfortunately, I have to go now, so I’ll have to report back later tonight. Thanks again for your help.
In my humble opinion, the list of check boxes is better. The search box means I have to memorize the category I want to replace the current category with, and this is a challenge as the categories are many. I would also point out that the search box is not working, so even if I do type in the exact name of the category, nothing appears.
The categories are simple categories.
However, I do use the following plugin:
“Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order”
This has never before caused a conflict.I’ve already reverted back to a previous version of the plugin and have gone through and fixed all of the products that were broken.
I’d be happy to assist with the development and switch back to the latest version to check logs, etc., but I need to know we will solve the problem.
Shall I proceed? Please advise.
Thank you.
Yes, this is for Woocommerce products. I’m running WordPress 6.4.2 with the Enfold theme version 5.6.9, editor set to “Block editor”, not “Classic editor”.
Can you share with me a screenshot of what you see at your end?
Conditions:
- Replace Taxonomy, meaning remove category and replace it with a different one.
Thank you.
I have reverted to version 2.7.8, as it was the only backup of your plugin I had. It works. Screenshot of what I now see:
Why on Earth the development team thought it would be a good idea to replace the Expiration Taxonomy checkbox list with a search box that makes you type in what you want escapes me. Even if the search box worked, it is inconvenient.
