Well it’s not just about the terminology here guys. It’s also about the overall intention and well, yes, ‘taking over’, is a phrase that to me also means ‘supervised’, ‘rescued’, ‘preserved’, ‘protected’. An intervention is sometimes required to prevent potential damage or even catastrophe. Imagine if you owned a business and a rogue employee was stuffing around with a project. You’d probably jump in to a) protect the code and b) protect the people (customers) using it.

In this case, many people could lose a lot if WPE pulled the plug (or worse?) on ACF, as they could have done. I get that you’re upset – but in the end, if you don’t like it, you’re free to vote with your feet. Personally, I’m all for Open Source and allowing users to make copies, take over, develop and generally experiment, grow and change any particular code base. I get that private money capitalists don’t like this concept (as it goes against their ideology of Private Property) but the reality is, it makes code stronger and platforms more robust when multiple people feel invested and able to tinker however they like. Personally, I try to steer away from code that is not open source (though it’s not always possible), because you don’t know what you’re getting.

It would be nice if WPE and WP could resolve this without lining the pockets of the bottom feeders, but that seems to be the way it’s going. If WPE who have very deep pockets, had contributed more, perhaps this situation would probably never have arisen…. BUT you know, we’re all human – spats happen, sometimes they turn into all out wars. Let’s hope it doesn’t get that far.

You are completely incorrect. Using emotional language is not going to make you right. Read the GPL license rules, which gives WordPress every right to do this. I’m glad they have we need to keep the development going.

I can see from here, that we can access the document title, but I have tried to combine that with a query about the order payment status and I can’t get it to work. Basically, need to change the title to “RECEIPT” if the payment status is paid.

I believe the author of this plugin – who is also the author of other plugins such as contact-form-7-campaign-monitor-extension – has either sadly died or is in jail or something similar! Their plugins, website and all other info is offline.

Hey that’s awesome – yes I did also find this css display none option, but I couldn’t find a way to apply it to the xml file generated in Yoast. Doing it manually not an option since it would be overwritten each time the xml is refreshed. Need some kind of function that applies this css block to the xml inline, but that’s a challenge!
