I Can't Believe It's Not WordPress

    Check out my new website, HomeList.org

    It runs on wordpress, but is highly customized and it’s very hard to tell that it’s actually a blog. The main purpose of the site is to function as a listing service for home sellers, but I’m using wordpress as the content management system.

    It’s a little rough around the edges til I hire a web designer to pretty up the website.

    xxbossmanxx: the entire website is running on my own custom php and mysql code. I’m still learning the languages, I’ve been learning from youtube tutorials (I highly recommend the youtube channel called phpacademy), but in due time the entire website will probably be running on my own custom cms.

    The listings I’m getting right now are from my local realtor association, but I plan to expand to other markets when I officially launch the site.

    Kudos for a good looking site…no need to pay someone else to do what you obviously can do very well.

    I am really going for a minimalistic design, I think I just need some little touches to make the page look more professional. If I hire a web designer, it’s going to be a very small job.

    no one could have guessed that the CMS behind the site is wordpress, excellent customizations. Nice logo as well. Good to see some content there, fresh and unique content will help your traffic grow.

    overall everything is good, the design, the ads placement, thumbnails of the images of the homes on the frontpage. And good loading time as well due to the minimalist design. best of luck with your blog, keep it updated.

    Don’t want to kill the mood, but to be able to see and know a site is wordpress or not is a rare gift :p

    I could determine the site is WP within seconds, but I did more than look:
