In reply to: [Two Factor Authentication] Time codes are “off”Sorry, I was about to post back. Somehow the automatic time update option got turned off on my phone. My webhost’s serve is also about 7 seconds slow, but it does seem to be working now.
The plugin checks back codes – does that mean that a slow server is more of an issue than a slow phone?
Many thanks for the prompt reply.
Is there a comparison of free vs premium versions anywhere?

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] WPCACHEHOMEI fixed it the “other” way – I put wp-config.php where it usually is, got the error cleared from SuperCache, and then moved it back to where I wanted it to be.
So in a round about way, fixed! No errors, and the cache works – the filestamps match, but there are no files showing as cached other than in wp-cache, despite having advance options on – I would have thought that the files would be in the lower wp supercache area??
Htaccess is properly populated, no errors, so why are there apparently no supercache files?
PS I don’t know if it makes a difference, but it is the Premium version, not free WF.
Thanks for the suggestions, and your speedy replies.
I got this sorted- I got an email from my ISP this morning advising me that due to a brute force attack on my site, their (shared) server was crawling- they had renamed ajax-admin.php and replaced it with a blank one to reduce server loading. I wish I had seen the email sooner- I spent most of yesterday trying to work out why WF wouldn’t work properly, and I couldn’t insert media into posts- turns out I was not as logged in as I thought I was!
Just to be clear, the original question was about a problem not caused by Wordfence.
Thanks again, and sorry to bother you. (Would you guys think that is a reasonable way to mitigate a sustained attack??????) There seems to be no penetration, and according to the WordPress Hardening article, as I have htaccess/ htpassword protected the wp-admin folder, the bots shouldn’t even be getting to that file??
Cheers
Hmm, and I was just about to get my wallet out
do you have any idea when this update will be released? Not looking for an exact date, just a ballpark idea.
Sorry, will try again.
I made a list of all my cookies, which show up as a list that look like posts when I click on the CookieLawInfo toolbar tab on the left hand side.
One of the cookies I named Google _utmc.
I only use these 19 cookie “posts” to populate the table which is presented on the privacy policy page using the shortcode[cookie_audit style=”simple”]
It is one of the items I named Google _utmc, which is showing as a top post- I would not have expected these items to ever show as top posts.
I’m sorry, I can’t really explain it any better, but I have included a couple of screen shots to show you what I mean.
Oops, can’t upload here, so put them here.
It isn’t pretty, but you may get a better idea what I mean.
Thanks, and thanks for your prompt reply, this is non urgent.Yup, just checked again, changed line 72 to read 30, only get a blank page displayed, no error, just a white page. Changed it to 12 still doesn’t work. No idea.
If it was a plugin, then why wouldn’t it fail with the original code rather than my amendment?
Andyjuki, what shortcode are you using?
Before posting this I just checked my shortcode, it was
[cookie_audit style="simple"]
changed it to the basic[cookie-audit]
one and it worked.
Strangely it now works with the original code too!
Anyway, it is working, I am happy – thanks to Richard for the prompt reply and to Andyjuki for making me try the code again. Cheers!!Ha, I set it to 30 also, and it doesn’t/ didn’t display a thing. Will need to try again. I also tried to paginate the results, but failed miserably, probably because I know nothing about php.
Hi, same issue here. I also (THINK) I found that the Google cookies won’t display if named for example _utma calling them “Google _utma” sorted that one out. Could that perhaps be a reason you are missing a couple??
I am missing 9 from my list, so if you find anything let me know!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Enlarge Text] [Plugin: Enlarge Text] Strange background imageHi, I got this sorted. There was a css file which included jquery toggle formatting- that was my problem. I changed the class to class1 in the php file which stopped it inserting the background image, and I can now also add a line in there to highlight the selected size.

In reply to: Cannot get to dashboard after enabling permalinksResolved- I had to include a line of code in the htaccess in the root folder- had to add the line
ErrorDocument 401 default
in there. The issue was because my wp-admin folder was protected.
Apparently the rewrite engine for the permalinks was intercepting the 401 authorisation message when trying to access the wp-admin folder, it didn’t know what to do with it and therefore a caused a 404 not found error.
I put this code at the top of the root htaccess folder and all is well. I eventually found the information in the forums- I just didn’t know properly what I was looking for!

In reply to: Cannot get to dashboard after enabling permalinksBy the way, 3.3.1 version of WordPress, not multisite.
