I’m still experimenting (before final release of the website) and didn’t have any issues going back. At least now I can finish within the deadline until some solutions appear for the bigger issues in 3.5

(e.g. if changes have to be made or the translator gets sick…)

It would be handy as a feature (if it’s not there) and I’m wondering what the consequences can be if I delete a language some day (files left behind etc and how to clean up)

Anyway, it often seems to be a problem even without the plugins activated.

But it’s in the widget-page, -> screen options (on the top-right), check “enable accessibility mode”

if nothing else works ??

go up to the admin top menu and enable compatibility mode, then you can change things with the widgets (in an unusual way, but it works)

this is just an emergency solution and not elegant, until something better happens

I’ll need all categories & subcategories in all languages.

So, to connect English (default) & translations I have to do it through the “Language” dropdown when creating a new category, right?

Because I have 3 levels of categories’ hierarchy, it looks like I better start from the top hierarchies going down to subcategories; I tried assigning a translation but it had no parent in its language… confusing for a newbie…
(Does the “Parent” dropdown work differently than usual?)

I’m using them 2 times in a widget (header & aside), so they are visible all the time. Not a big problem, I’ll publish only the languages I have completely translated and I’ll add the new ones as the translators are ready.
I hope I can add a new language later on the website, right?

would it make a difference if, when editing in the “Quick Edit” mode, you’d change the post language to English (it’s in Russian on your video, both times…)

I have to clear the above question a bit:

in order to separate categories of questions I’d like to either include them (with header & all, or in worst case: only the answer text) within a “box” or just set a different background-color (either for each group or only the answers).

The first question appears expanded, sometimes all of them etc (it reacts unpredictably with or without some text or tag on the very top of the page content)

Now I use separating horizontal lines, but a colour indication too has my preference.

maybe your template file is not formated any different from the one you use? can happen some times…

make some very visible change in the new template file’s code to check that it picks up the right one.

I don’t know if it is relevant but, are you sure you’ve changed the heading of the new template’s .php file to a new name?
