In reply to: [Hueman] minimising headerHello bd,
Thanks for your interest. The link to my project is below. Let me get my excuses for the beta site in early – just enough content to figure out side bars, searches, catagory sorting etc. But, as you can see the great blue header bar covering if not 50% then close to 40%. Dearly love to minimise this.

In reply to: [Hueman] next/previous story – removal?I’m guessing the above is relevant to another string. Thanks again.

In reply to: [Hueman] next/previous story – removal?Hi Bdbrown,
Thanks for that. I’m much of a newby with WP and thinking about css brings me out in a sweat but I’ll have a go when I muster up courage. I see it didn’t work out for santebarleyreviewhq but maybe we are on different updates???
By drop down I meant to infer dropping the next/previous down the side bar away from top if that was an easy alternative.

In reply to: page drop down menu or nav barHi Andrew,
The delay has proved advantagous. The widget I fancied has been updated by the author and now works for me. Again, thanks for your interest.

In reply to: page drop down menu or nav barAndrew,
I hope you don’t think I’m being churlish and ignoring your kind offer. The family has been embroiled in moving aged parent from one nursing home to another. Everyone focused on that for another day or two. If the offer still open I’ll come back later in the week.

In reply to: page drop down menu or nav barAndrew,
Sound. Thanks for the offer. Seems a little scary but if you are going to hold my hand gotto be worth a go. I’m comitted to family stuff for a day or two and if you are still up for this then I’ll check out a couple of widgets that look right (although not updated as said above) ask you to look at them with a link to my very beta site so you can see what I’m upti and take it from there.
Cheers for now
Ian

In reply to: page drop down menu or nav barHi Andrew,
Perhaps it’s my ancient terminology! Firstly, thanks for your interest.
Check this link
https://www.serif.com/Support/AccountHelp/ContactCustomerServices/
The navigation drops down four columns of content.
I only need one scrollable list of pages ideally in a widget that I can put into a side bar or a navigation menu that allows ‘drop downs’.
See lots of stuff for posts but very little for pages and what I find hasn’t been updated. Following your query I suspect I’m not searching with the right key words.
CheersIan

In reply to: [Jolene] getting 2 side bars liveThanks cats. Bit of a shame, I’m going to have to go with another theme as my potential users aren’t likely to have screen sizes required for 2 sidebars.
