I just want to change the bar on my theme that contains the home pages etc. I dont care about changing the look of the bar ( as i assume that would be using firebug) but the look of the drop down menu when I hover over a tab on the bar.

I have looked at some videos online and they edit the bar through there widgets after downloading plugins they like. but when i get a widget it only appears vertically on the right hand comment box section so i guess thats just how the template was made right?

so My widgets appear vertically? I cant custom make my main tab bar?

that fire bug stuff looks complicated to understand..im pretty new

my question is this I just removed comments from the template but the post I read said after you do that, if you want comments on one of your pages add this value : “Create a new custom field called “allow_comments” and on any pages I want comments give that custom field a value (1, true, allow, whatever).”

Can someone break this down for me I do not get it ?

disable comments did not remove anything …. i read here that i ahve to find this code <?php comments_template( ”, true ); ?>

and replace it with this to disable it

<?php// comments_template( ”, true ); ?>

is this true ?

And another question was about the html codeing that anyone can see under the comments. Is that just uncompleted coding left by the creator of the template? If so doesent that mean i can find it in the apperance editor and just delete it ? or would that ruin everything ?
