Ok I have tested that and the email notification is working fine. (Totally my fault for not reading the details)

Solution is in subscription emails tab number 4

Actually as you have an account at the forum did you not get a notification? I see that you are subscribed to the forums as new users get auto subscribed on registration. For now I have got over this by removing the button for “favourites” in the bbpress forum settings and removing the “add link for new topic” in the bbp stylepack forum display tab,

Then, in the bbp stylepack forum buttons tab I have added a “new post” button and styled the color of the button.

This makes the new topic and subscribe/unsubscribe buttons look the same (as the button stlye colour I set as above also styled the subscribe/unsubscribe button) .

On a desktop they are side by side and on a mobile one underneath each other on the left which looks fine but leaves a bit of wasted white space at the right hand side of the mobile.

Hi, just an update. This is “fixed” in the settings of the plugin by unchecking the box titled “With caption” in the images tab.

So, to make my site comply with the new rules I have to upgrade to a 20 euro a month plan? I wish you had said that in the beginning as this is the support area for free versions of plugins no? Or am I mistaken?

To be honest, for my site that makes 30 euros a month in adsense to pay for server costs, its really not vialble to lay out two thirds of that for your pro version.

Looking at the adsense dashboard the generic service provided by google looks to be fine, easy to set up and obviously complies with the new rules.

Sorry to have wasted your time with this topic but if you had been transparent with your first answer the issue would have been solved weeks ago.

In my settings I don’t see the controls that you mention. (I am using your free plugin version)

I do see “Reset settings Warning: Resets all your current settings to default. This action will switch you to the new and improved user interface and this action is not reversible.“

Do I need to do the reset in order to see these extra controls for Google compliance?

I have just received an email from Google saying that I am not yet compliant. So is there anything I need to do in the settings of the plugin to correct this?

What does this mean for me? It appears that you have not yet adopted a Google-certified CMP to collect consent from your users, which means that your site(s) will stop showing AdSense ads and receiving revenue on EEA and UK traffic after 16 January 2024.
