I’m having a similar issue.

The website I’m developing for my client offers Portfolio cpt, where you can create different types of portfolios, each set up as a post. However, within these posts is where you create individual projects. So content for portfolio page is dynamically generated.

So essentially the URL is /portfolio/portfolio_type/project_name. This is a template theme that client insisted on.

Because of this og:url is not correct – it’s the portfolio page, not project page.

So when I’m trying to share these pages on social networks, it shares wrong URL and most of the time wrong description (which I don’t even see as meta property).

You are not correct.

The only button that shares somewhat correctly is VK – it shows right title and description. I don’t see the image at all.

All other do not use meta specified in tags. Some show the right title but wrong description. Some show right title, description but wrong image (the post is about a bathroom, but it shows a restaurant img).

I’m sure it’s all due to the wrong URL. The projects are part of custom post type. However, the link being shared and specified in tag, is for the main portfolio page, not for individual project.

How do I change it to show the right URL?

The text after image disappears if the plugin is on.

Let me clarify….I do not WANT to show ads on multipost pages, so in settings I have selected DO Not Show.

That has nothing to do with my question.

I do NOT show ads on multiple posts pages. So changing this setting makes no sense.

Anything else?

Everything works perfectly for me.

I’m using WP 3.6.1, FSCF 4.0.15 and CFDB 2.6.3.

Maybe you should update the form plugin.

In your CPT file (customposttype.php) change ‘public’ from false to true.

Worked for me.
