  • Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I did contact JM but I just wanted to know if Sassy social share would pick up the metatags JM created.

I have resolved this. For the benefit of others, here’s what I did to get images to share from my wordpress blog (u design theme).

    1) sassy social share does fine with using the featured image to post a picture when shared to linked in and facebook.

    2) For twitter large card image tweet, I installed JM Twitter cards and configured with post types = post, creator and site = my twitter handle without the @, card type = summary below large, excerpt yes, open graph yes, size 280×375, everything else blank. Save everything.

On the post page set card type = summary below large, and “set another source as twitter image” = an image from my media that was 81kb, 400×295 pixels. Not sure if the pixel size of the image is important, but I think the physical size can’t be over 1mb. Save and publish.

Then go to https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator. This is simple. Enter the url of the blog page. Mine validated fine. Good luck for yours.

Test. My blog with image posted to twitter in the most beautiful way!!!

Thanks Heateor for a great plugin. Sassy Social Shares.

I don’t use yoast. I have setup my JM twitter cards as described by jury1111 above. I do not see an image or summary when I share to twitter. I am using sassy social share buttons. Do I have to use a particular share plug in to make JM work? Thanks.

Thanks, I did not try yoast because I was afraid it might have an unintended, irreversible effect on my site.

Can I use JM Twitter cards or Jetpack with Sassy Social Share? I installed JM Twitter cards and setup an image and other settings. The JM settings are displayed at the bottom of the post page and an image and summary is displayed, but the tweet I see when I use my sassy twitter button has not changed.

Team Heateor, Sassy Social Share is really great!! But how do I get blog tweets to have a photo with them? I’m using u-design and I have a featured image but my tweet comes out with no picture, just words. Even after it is tweeted. Thanks.
