In reply to: [video explanation] can't login and can't upgrade manuallyYes, sure, it’s the Network themes page.
And I already tried to upgrade manually, but this is the major issue I am having, like I explained above.Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: [video explanation] can't login and can't upgrade manuallyokay, after deleting it, the dashboard of each site reverted to twenty-fourteen theme (strangely, not twenty fifteen). I am noting that all 3 default WP themes still appear “disabled” in the network dashboard, although when I click “enable” any one of them, I see “theme enabled” note.
In any case, I changed the theme of the main site to twenty fourteen, but still the network dashboard shows that I am using WP 4.0 , and still says “you are using the latest version of wordpress” !!!Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: [video explanation] can't login and can't upgrade manuallyYou can’t select a theme for the WP Network’s dashboard.
I can select a theme for the main site.
But going to the WP Network dashboard, all themes appear “disabled” (Although the sites load fine with the default theme).
No matter how many times I click “enable” , the themes just remain disabled in the dashboard, and I can’t switch to any other theme.
If I completely delete the folder of the default (active) theme, the other themes would remain “disabled” and the sites would not load at all !!Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: [video explanation] can't login and can't upgrade manuallyThanks jkhongusc. I could login after I renamed the plugins folder (strangely, renaming the plugins folder to “_plugins” didn’t result in excluding it, and apparently it was still causing the problem , only after I renamed it to plugins.bak that WordPress started not seeing it and I could login.
However, I still can’t upgrade WordPress, neither from the dashboard automatically or by uploading the new version (the upload button simply doesn’t respond), nor by upgrading via accessing the site’s files via FTP and copying over the new files replacing the old ones. That still results in the errors I explained above and in the video.Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: [video explanation] can't login and can't upgrade manuallyI hope someone can help please !

In reply to: [video explanation] can't login and can't upgrade manuallyEdit
For those who don’t want/cant see the video:
The issue is not being able to login.
In the video I show 4 steps I took to resolve my issue, all of them fail:
1- upgrade manually by copying over all new WP 4.5.1 files to my existing WP 4.4.2 (excluding wp-config.php and wp-content folder).
Result: blog fails to load with an error in the wp-widgets.php file.2- upgrade manually by copying only wp-admin folder. Blog loads, but same login failure issue.
3- upgrade manually by copying only wp-admin and wp-includes folder (excluding all root folder files and wp-content folder).
Result: blog fails to load with an error in the default-widgets.php file.4- upgrade manually by copying only new wp-admin folder and new wp-settings.php file .
Result: blog fails to load with an error in the default-widgets.php file. Thanks

In reply to: what is best way to forward WP-MU sub-domain to new domain?Bump ??
Dear Kreg. Then it seems there’s a bug in the emailing module.
I was sure to put a unique email address in the signer’s email field.
Yet when the signature and the message were delivered to the target, it appeared coming from WP’s default admin email address, not the address of the signer. This, although the correct email appeared in the text body, under the signature text. Also , the name of the signer didn’t appear in the subject’s line.
What could be the reason ?
I hope you find the time to answer my queries ??
Thanks in advance

In reply to: [SpeakUp! Email Petitions] Few questions, feedback, & feature requestsKreg Wallace I would appreciate it if you could please address my further questions above ??

In reply to: [SpeakUp! Email Petitions] Few questions, feedback, & feature requestsThanks alot Kreg for taking the time to respond. Please allow me to further comment on your comments on some of the points, with their relevant numbers:
0- I don’t think a “customizable success message” is necessary, but two, one for confirmation-enabled and one for confirmation-disabled, is important. Imagine if I have one petition that needs confirmation and another which doesn’t, the success message will always be misleading for one of them !
0b – Success message location: Thanks, I managed to move the code and after some testing, I found that best location to put it is to place it above these lines (inside includes/emailpetition.php) :
<div class="dk-speakup-progress-wrap"> <div class="dk-speakup-signature-count"> <span>' . number_format( $petition->signatures )
4- Petition text: Indeed, I switched themes and the text appeared ! But what could be preventing it from appearing in my default thene? Kindly, have a look: https://www.3areda.com/2013/salah-yafie/
5- Secret question: Okay, so can you please tell me how the plugin filters out robot spam ?
6- So I just put “$petition->goal” where I want the number of required signatures to appear, as is?
8- Manual Confirmation: I totally understand what you mean, but as I said, sometimes there’s a need to do it, when people do not get the confirmation email at all (for many possible reasons).
New : Question 1 : If I want to pay you to do some of the customizations above, or other things that I want to be available in the plugin, is that possible?
Question 2: Is there a way I can merge the DB of the old similar “WordPress Petition Plugin” with the DB of your plugin, and have the older petitions be displayed as if they were made using SpeakUp ?
