In reply to: [WP Approve User] Deactivation Approves All Users – SECURITY ISSUEOK. Maybe a warning of what to expect upon deactivation could be useful, though. That way, users wouldn’t assume wrongly that deactivation won’t change what they have not explicitly allowed.
Best.

In reply to: [AJdG User Cleaner] Login as indicator of activity + adjust time frameThanks, Arnan.
I see what you mean and understand now. Actually, in certain cases I use the When Last Login plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/when-last-login/) to have that info for each user and then being able to delete the inactive ones.
But as there’s really not many people using User Cleaner, I tend to think you won’t get many requests in this regard…
Having said this, maybe we have a chicken-and-egg situation here. Making the plugin so simple might be what’s keeping the adoption rate so low, what in turn doesn’t prompt you to add features, thus keeping the low adoption rate.
Anyway, I’ll stay around in case you ever want and have the time to keep developing User Cleaner. I’ll gladly help with a translation or something.
Best.

In reply to: [Hide from Search] Exclude internal search results URLs from crawlersThanks for your answer, Micah.
I saw Yoast can do that, but I really don’t need the rest of the plugin, so it would have been overkill.
After failing to find specific info for WordPress Search URLs, in the end I used the robots.txt file to disallow URLs with certain parameters:
User-agent: * Disallow: /?s=*
Google’s Search Console robots.txt tester didn’t complain ??
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/robots-testing-toolThank you for answering, Peter.
Just now I logged back in to send you the report, decided to check just once more the Whitelisted services section and… voilà, all checkboxes were there!
I have no idea what happened, as no code, plugin or theme changed. It was the first time I’ve seen it.
Thanks again for the willingness to help ??

In reply to: Can’t drag and drop blocks in 5.5Good news: https://wptavern.com/gutenberg-9-0-brings-major-improvements-to-navigation-screen-and-query-block
Other notable UI enhancements include a new drag handle added to block toolbar for drag-and-drop capability. (It is not visible on the top toolbar). Blocks can be dragged to other areas of a post as an alternative to using the up/down arrows.

In reply to: Can’t drag and drop blocks in 5.5Thanks, @christinablust.
Allowing the usage of the Top Toolbar without warning the user that basic block functionality will be lost is an irresponsible move. I wonder how it was justified.
In the mean time, I had to recreate some blocks or cut and paste block contents, and then fix links as they (due to some otherworldly reason) change when you do that.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Can’t get rid of “Skip to content”Also
Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles Panel > Full Screen Mobile
Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles Panel > Transparent Header
Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles Panel > Vertical Header
??????Who knows what else…
I guess the best thing to be able to disable unnecessary CSS and JS is to add custom CSS to hide the .skip-link class. It may have accessibility implications to consider, though.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Can’t get rid of “Skip to content”PS: Disabling Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles Panel > Links Effect also causes “Skip to content” to appear ??
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [OceanWP] “Skip to content” always show in the top of pageIn case you’re still having this problem, please check https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cant-get-rid-of-skip-to-content/ for an answer.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [OceanWP] Can’t get rid of “Skip to content”You’ve probably already fixed this, but this may help others.
In my case the “Skip to content” text appeared when I disabled the Mega Menu option, which I don’t use anyway, at Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles Panel > Mega Menu.
So once you install the plugin Ocean Extra to better manage the OceanWP options, beware of unintended (and unexpected) consequences of disabling some features.
It baffles me why, but it does work that way.

In reply to: [Plugin for Google Reviews] Can support short code?I guess @matveb, @joen and @karmatosed would have a different opinion about the “just a text editor” part, but it’s OK ??
Thank you for your time. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Google Reviews Widget Gutenberg block in the near future!
