Hi Tobias,

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I deactivated all plugins except tablePress and switched to the 2012 theme. I still have the same issue. I am a little puzzled. The only difference between our dev site (which breaks) and our live site that works is the wordpress 3.5 update.

We have narrowed it down to the “publicize” and “sharing” modules of Jetpack that creates the duplicate signups. We have also reported this to the Jet Pack support forums.

A slight correction: Actually, it appears that both publicize and sharing have to be turned off for the the signup sheet to work. If either one is activated it breaks.

I can confirm the issue only happens when JetPack is installed. On a clean site there is no duplication. I activate JetPack with JetPack comments and I see the duplication. When JetPack is deactivated the signup goes back to single entries.

Is there a way to use both the sign-up sheet and JetPack without having to delete the multiple entries?

After further troubleshooting we discovered that this plugin was attempting to make a new table but didn’t have appropriate permissions. Once we allowed it to build the table the problem was resolved.

I have narrowed this problem down to the ‘WP Realtime Sitemap’ plugin changing:
