try to clean your browser cache, or to open your website in a private page
try as well to disable all plugins and then to re-enable them one by one
as final step you should clean server cache

i created taxonomy with ID order since i thought it would have been easier for theme to handle them, but i discovered that terms are alphabetically sorted.
so i tried many plugins and yours is one out of two that is at least recognising taxonomies and the only one having some effect on it.
when i set “Order by ID” nothing changes, when i set “Custom Order as defined above” the order is like randomly reordered, screenshot here
if you want i can create an admin account on a test website so you can check and test it
