Well – I am really sorry to keep asking you about this – put when I added it I did not see a SPAN poping up in the source – when video is a category. Really sorry to waste your time.

okay – how do I change what you had in pastebin – so it adds a span if video category instead of adding it too the thumbnail?

Some things to try

1) Make sure under settings / reading you have the homepage set as homepage
2) Go to permalinks and click update to refresh that

Sorry – with the thumb – it is not possible to layer a PNG on top of the thumb by changing class it just puts it behind the thumbnail. I guess I would need a SPAN or just call the icon in on without css? Any ideas? To recap I want the thumbnail to have a PNG on top if it is from a category – like a watermark … Sorry this is hard to explain

Hey – that really did the track for the CLASS on the THUMB – but I cannot layer a img on an img using CSS – maybe it would be best if it left the img class and changed the STORY DIV? I do not know how to get the PNG of a video icon to layer ONTOP of the THUMB. Any ideas?

ahhh then it could be the theme – I know some complex themes override things or can cause issues – I am not familiar with that theme.. I would start there ??

Sure with your WEB HOSTING you should have a place you LOGIN manage the HOSTING – in there you should be able to find FTP, then you can do in through there and delete it.. Becareful though as a newbie – you could call your host and ask them to delete it for you ??

Did you try a different web browser? If it is safari or an old version of a browser sometimes there are issues with that.

It is probably your .HTACCESS file that tells things how to LINK. You could contact your host and have them look at it.. Maybe when you did the INSTALL you left the old .htaccess file on the SERVER? It is located at the ROOT of the installtion area for wordpress.

It is probably the .HTACCESS – call your host and have them look into it or you can try accessing the FTP and deleting the PLUGIN MANUALLY in yoursitewordpress/wp-content/plugins/

Anyone know how to add in a conditional tag for the thumbnail class?

The best way I have come to is to have a conditional tag on the THUMB class – if it is category A use THUMB class A, if it is all other categories use class B – I do not know how to modify this to do that out the loop.
