If you don’t want to fool with code – you could download a new search plugin that has the code already right.. and just load and activate that, and ad it to the sidebar.

You should download the “All in one seo” and activate it, this will ad the fields on the posts and also pages..

Make sure to go to settings also and fill out the Description and keywords for you site too. that is for the homepage.

Also a good plugin to use is “robots meta” it is a bit more geeky but will guide you through some good SEO measures ??

Yeah just delete from the sidebar or drag some widgets in there to override the presets programed in the sidebar.. If you don’t ad widgets to the side bar it will just, but the defaults in there.

I had the same problem and could not get to the htaccess either – I had to call the host

You can always do it – but it depends on the theme – as far as how much work it will be to change the css… Usually it is easy, what is the theme?

What is the site? Did it happen once you upgraded?

As a rule with wordpress the fix is alway more dumb than the problem ??

I figure out a way around it.. I just renamed my template hompage home.php and adjusted it.

I tried another popup plugin and it did the same thing, does it have to do with the fact it puts the script in the footer for popups? Also why would it overide my wordpress setting for location of my BLOG and HOMEPAGE?

Check if you are using any cache plugin. This plugin does not work with Supercache and wp-cache plugin
The plugin needs to insert code into your footer. Make sure the function <?php wp_footer(); ?> is included in your theme footer.php
The text editor is sensitive to changes. Clear your message from the text editor and re-input again. Be careful not to mess with the html code.
Clear your cookie.
