Thanks Andy. The only thing I’d like to add here is that I am surprised that the ticket got closed that quickly as a non WP related issue and had I and 082net pursued that matter it would have stayed that way. I just hope this does not become common practice.

in fact almost none of the “titles” displayed in the stats match the actual urls they refer to.

same goes for wp.com stats.

I found that it’s not related to K2 but WP_Query.

$wp_query was overridden by plugins, themes, and widgets using ‘new WP_Query()’ or ‘query_posts()’ and ‘wp_reset_query()’ seems does not works. ( I don’t know why ‘new WP_Query()’ overrides $wp_query ?? Is it a bug or general? )

So, I decided to query the request again even if it’s already queried by wordpress.

I’ll update this plugin soon with another bug patches.

well this is most strange since not one stats plugin (be it wp.com stats or SlimStats) returns correct listings.

The links are correct in the stats of e.g. SlimStats but they are all put under the same post name which results in having 2000 hits on one post on first glance while in fact the links point to the according posts…

Ahhh thanks! GamerZ! But what about the WordPress.Com Stats plugin? I was referring to that one actually. It seems the very own wordpress.com stats plugin is not compatible with 2.3? At least that is what I am using and it is not working here…

So “slim stats” behaves the same way and lists that one post “Spider-Man” for all incoming hits on posts.

This happens since I updated to 2.3 and is possibly related to the db changes?

e.g.
a hit is listed as “Spider Man 3” but the link points to
https://www.ihad.de/2005/09/16/pitch-black-2000/
a totally different article.

i.e. for any incoming hit the listed title and url do not match.

Anyone else have this problem?

ps. the stats from my host are all correct of course…

something is messed up with this plugin and 2.3, suddenly all the hits I get are for 1 post, a post that never got many hits before at all

or maybe it is a combination of the latest K2 (nightly 29.9.2007) and wp2.3 and wp stats 1.1.1

Since the Visual Tab works usually fine when you go to the write page with a clean browser cache but will be stuck in code view once your browser cache has loaded the post-new.php page once it suggests that this may be cache related.

Since it worked fine in 2.1.1. I’d check anything cache related that changed from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2.

From a usability point of view this has a huge impact on your general user base t least as far as the wp.org community is concerned. Wp.com users aren’t affected anyhow.

Ya, well there seems to be a related trac ticket # 3882 in the bug db. This issue still persists in the nightly build from 24th of March though.
