Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Google issue with URLsHi Tor-Bjorn
Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately the site is completely HTTP and was registered as HTTP with Google and BING.
Every link, media, url on the site is http.
The site is self contained so I’m not sure where external pages would come into play.
.htaccess doesn’t throw up anything
I have set up a good number of WP sites but this is the first time that one has thrown this issue.I thought it might be a plugin creating the HTTPS but as I use most of the plugins on other sites and there hasn’t been an issue with them it must be something else.
I will plod on.

In reply to: Google issue with URLsThank you Tor-Bjorn. That is a most useful plugin. Unfortunately I still can’t figure out if it was WP which changed the URL to https. I have contacted google and hopefully they will throw some light on it. The correct URL for the site is https://juliannagonzales.ie but search engines (google and BING) are showing https://juliannagonzales.ie so I guess the issue may be with them.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Fatal Error after updating The Event Calendar to 4.4.4Hi. I have been getting a similar error – over the last few updates. I have managed it just now so unfortunately don’t have the exact error message – I decided to check out the forum after repair.
I have manually removed old version and when installing new I get a message to say directory/plugin already exists.
I find now that when I see that there is an update available the best option is to remove the old plugin by ftp, download the new version, unzip, upload via ftp and hope for the best!
Next time it happens I will post the error message.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] IE Image border with Google Maps WidgetHi,
Hmmmm. Not sure why that link hasn’t worked?https://dunleer.ie/ is correct.
Anyhoo…….whilst waiting for a reply I applied a css fix to my child theme
img{ border:none; }
and this worked fine.
Yeah I think it is just an IE thing rather than the theme or another plugin. The images were showing without border on all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc. )except for IE.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Issues with Larger MapHello again,
Relating on a site I am working on for a local drama group – currently at https://daithiobroin.ie/dssI had fixed this problem and then today I updated my GMW and now I have the problem back again.
I can’t remember which file line #156 should be commented from…..gmw.js? jquery.fancybox.pack.js?….google-maps-widget.php?…..
I am also getting a ‘loading’ icon running permanently on the site which disappears when I click on it.Will I have to apply a fix whenever I update the widget?
Any help much appreciated.

In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Issues with Larger MapHi ‘WebFactory’
I have the same problem as above.
Can I ask for assistance withRemove it either from the theme if you’re not using it, or from the GMW.
Where do I look for it in GMW so that I can remove it?
All help much appreciated.
