In reply to: I want to quitLog into your account and delete your WP install, usually /blog. Then drop your db tables.
Easy.
WP since 2.0 only generates a standard 9 line .htaccess file. The actual rewrite rules are written to your database (somewhere in wp_options)…
That’s weird. So, how does WP use them (and apache use them) from the DB? According to the guide on mod_rewrite, the directives need to be in http.conf or .htaccess or whatever your control file is named.

In reply to: No privileges on PhpmyadminWhat do you mean, it didn’t work? What happens when you try creating a new DB in admin’s front page? Where it says “Create new database”?
At the top of phpMyAdmin it should say something like:
Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.6.4-pl2
MySQL 4.0.25-standard running on localhost as your_username@localhost
If it says something like that, then you’re logged into it as your account.
Does your hosting account even allow you to run a MySQL DB? Some plans out there don’t.

In reply to: No privileges on PhpmyadminYou shouldn’t have to create a user, if you can access phpMyAdmin, then you’re in as a user. By default, it’s the name of your account.

In reply to: ads within iframes don’t work with wordpress?I don’t know what you mean though, by nulling out the ad sites in a host file
By setting the URL’s of known ad vendors to the localhost address, thus rendering them worthless.

In reply to: Rollover Image QuestionWhat other way? The way several million people do it: with javascript. But that was your first choice, wasn’t it?

In reply to: Rollover Image QuestionNo, but it’s one of the few ways that don’t involve scripting.

In reply to: header(“Location: $PHP_SELF”) problemNot really. Something (output) is being sent to the browser before the headers are being sent, and like that page suggested, it could be anything from white space to an errant tag.

In reply to: ads within iframes don’t work with wordpress?Don’t know what to tell you really. I’m seeing them. Maybe it’s a cache issue or you’ve got the ad sites nulled out in a hosts file or something.

In reply to: password protected posts appearing in search engines?wow, and i thought i was rude. The original poster prolly didnt need your reply, kickass. even I am inclined to believe that PASSWORD PROTECTED posts mean theyre not accessable except by password.
Well, more fool the original poster huh? This just goes to show what an insecure and poorly thought-out piece of sh*t RSS truly is. Why secure something when that glorious little W3C-approved cockup is broadcasting to anyone who cares to listen? Including Google…

Touché…hehehe
Anyhow, there’s far too many good free/GPL ones out there…

In reply to: password protected posts appearing in search engines?Next time? Don’t put stuff you don’t want others (i.e, the world) seeing online. It’s pretty simple. Call it a lecture, but it might save your ass from a stalker when he/she/it comes after you.
