Hi @bartiofficial ,
Thanks for reaching out!
The T4B News Ticker menu is currently restricted to Administrators. If you want to allow access for Authors or Editors, you’ll need to edit the
ticker-settings.php
file.Steps to Grant Access:
- Open
ticker-settings.php
and locate theadmin_menu
method (around line 72). - Change
'administrator'
to a suitable capability inadd_menu_page
andadd_submenu_page
functions.- Use
'edit_published_posts'
to allow access for Authors and above. - Use
'edit_pages'
or'delete_pages'
to allow access for Editors and above.
- Use
- Save the file and refresh your WordPress dashboard.
This should resolve the issue! Let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
IftekharHello Ken,
Thanks for reaching out.
I understand that your ticker stopped scrolling after upgrading to version 1.4.0. Let’s troubleshoot this together!
I checked your website’s source code and noticed that the ticker initialization script is missing:
<script>
jQuery(function(){
jQuery("#ticker").liScroll();
});
</script>This script is responsible for making the ticker scroll. Please check the following:
- Ensure the ticker is enabled in the plugin settings.
- Disable any caching or minification plugins and clear your browser cache (Press Ctrl+Shift+Del → Clear Cache).
- Check for JavaScript conflicts: Open your browser console (Press F12 → Go to the Console tab) and see if any errors appear.
- Try temporarily switching to a default theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-Four) and deactivating other plugins to check for conflicts.
Regarding “continuous scroll,” there is no option by that name in the plugin. Could you clarify what you meant by that? Happy to assist further!
Best Regards,
IftekharHello Bartiofficial,
I see that the ticker settings are not appearing in your admin panel, but the ticker works fine on the homepage. Let’s try some debugging steps to find out what’s causing the issue:
- Please install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. Use the Troubleshooting Mode to check if the issue persists with all other plugins disabled and a default theme (Twenty Twenty-Four) enabled.
- Enable WordPress debugging by adding the following lines to your
wp-config.php
file:
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );After doing this, check the
wp-content/debug.log
file and share any errors via Pastebin or Gist.- Please open the browser console (Press F12 → Go to the Console tab) and check if there are any JavaScript errors when loading the settings page.
- Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme to check if there’s a conflict.
Let me know what you find, and we’ll take it from there!
Best Regards,
IftekharThank you for the clarification. I sincerely apologize for the mistake and will fully adhere to www.ads-software.com support guidelines moving forward.
Hi Bartiofficial,
I checked the link you shared, but it’s not showing any screenshot. Regarding the category issue, the plugin only displays categories that have posts assigned to them. Also, only WordPress default post categories are shown in the ticker settings. If you don’t see a category, it’s likely because it doesn’t have any posts yet.
As for translating “Ticker Contents” with Loco Translator—this text is dynamically generated based on WordPress posts. Since it’s not a static string stored in the plugin, translation plugins like Loco may not detect it. Instead, the content is pulled directly from your posts, which means you need to ensure your post titles and content are translated in WordPress itself.
Let me know if you need further clarification!

Thanks for reaching out! Since the Advanced Settings are working fine on my testing sites and your other two websites, the issue seems to be specific to the environment of sicilys-place.net.
Here are some things you can check:
- Clear your browser cache and try again.
- Check for any JavaScript errors in the browser console (F12 > Console).
- Try switching to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to see if the theme is interfering.
- Ensure there are no server-side caching mechanisms preventing the settings from updating.
If the issue persists, enabling WordPress Debug Mode and checking the error logs might give more insights. Let me know what you find!
Hi there,
Thanks for reporting the issue! The problem was caused by unnecessary sanitization of the WP editor, which wasn’t actually required. This has now been fixed in the latest update.
Please reinstall the plugin to get the update, and links should now save correctly. Let me know if you need any help!
Best regards,
IftekharHello Br,
As promised, the title limit option is now available! You can find it under the Ticker Contents tab, labeled as Post Title Max. Length. This option applies to Category and Tag tickers to prevent layout issues.
Also, note that the Ticker Settings location has changed. You’ll now find it in the WordPress admin main menu under “T4B Ticker.”
Please update to the latest version and check it out. Let me know if you have any questions!
Best regards,
IftekharHi @kadrikabbani,
I hope you’re doing well! Apologies for the delayed response; I was unable to reply from my main account due to some account restrictions, but now that I have access through my support account, I can get back to you.
Regarding the new update, it will take a few more days to be released. I’m currently tied up with another big project, but I should be able to manage time and release it within a week or so. Thanks for your patience!
As for collaborating on future plugin development, I really appreciate the offer, and it sounds exciting! However, due to some ongoing health challenges, I’m unable to take on any partnership projects at the moment. I’m working solo for now, but I’m glad to hear about your interest.
Thank you again for reaching out, and I’ll keep you posted on the update!
Best regards,
