I researched the setting for the option “Visible on the product page” and what it actually does is show or hide the additional info tab which isn’t obvious..

    Hi superkot

Thanks, yes that would be an option if there’s no other way to actually remove the field. Viewing the attribute on the product page in admin I had overlooked the option “Visible on the product page”. I tried enabling and disabling it. It sounds like it would keep the attribute from displaying on the product page but I don’t see that it is actually doing anything at all.

oh, regarding attributes (if they can be added) would there be the ability to add several of an each attribute to cart at one time? So on product page if customer wants to add 5 of one attribute and 9 of a different attribute they could input a number? I know answering these questions takes time and I appreciate it. I want to be certain estore has what we need before we purchase. Thanks

    Hi mbrsolution

    Thanks for answering.

With your WordPress eStore Plugin we would be selling only physical goods requiring shipping rates.

    A few questions

Using this plugin will new product pages need to be created or can short codes be added to each existing page|product and still utilize all plugin features?

    On this page

WP eStore Amount Based Shipping AddOn
    https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-amount-based-shipping-addon-3715

    My example set up

    from 200.00 to 300.00 shipping amount 10.00

If a customer has less than 200.00 in their cart do they receive an alert that they need to add more to cart before they can continue checkout?

In my paypal account I noticed when experimenting setting up shipping rates calculated by amount (price total) the form doesn’t allow me to to start “from” at 200.00. “From” has to begin at 0.01. So that means checkout could happen if a cart total is below our required 200.00 minimum purchase.

Does your WordPress eStore Plugin let one set up minimum price requirement in some way in order to use paypal account shipping rates or is minimum purchase requirement handled strictly by WP eStore Amount Based Shipping AddOn and using shipping rates set up in WP admin?

Can variants|attributes be set up on products so a customer can choose between several MPN numbers which require different pricing?
If so can check boxes be set up rather than a drop down menu? In some cases a customer may want to choose more than one MPN part and having check boxes would be more convenient than a drop down menu. For other products a drop down menu would be desired.

    thanks much for your time

Awesome! Thank you for responding so quickly and with a fix! That did the trick. ??

Thanks, I’ll check for errors. The meta tag line is in the parent theme functions.php file. When I alter it, it does change on the front end. That’s why I thought adding the functions.php file to child theme would over-ride the line in parent theme functions.php.

It worked. Thanks for that. It’s appreciated. There’s always something new to learn.

sorry, didn’t notice I was in the wrong thread. I’ve posted to the modern theme forum.

ok thanks, I am rethinking this. Can you tell me a way to deal with this issue I am finding? I have embedded a pdf file into a page. The pdf appears to have a gray cast (overlay) to it (instead of looking white) I switched from the pdf to a png image version and it too looks gray so it is something with the template. I don’t want to remove the ‘overlay’ because that seems to define the content area. I’m trying (trial and error) z-index but haven’t determined yet which sections should be done.

    Hi

Thanks for your patience with my questions and for the the display:none suggestion. I am somewhat familiar with wordpress but I find there’s still a lot more to learn.

Regarding the display of the non-featured posts:

I have set up pages. The pages I have used for the top navigation links. I have set up posts. Some posts are featured and appear in the slideshow. Other non-featured posts appear on the homepage below the slideshow.
What I would like is for the non-featured posts to appear on all pages and all post ‘pages’ but I do not want two way related meaning I don’t want pages to show on all post ‘pages’ I don’t know if I am relating this is a clear way but I will explore jetpacks related post offerings.

If you understand what it is I am trying to accomplish you may see a clearer way of doing this. In short I would like all nonfeatured posts to be linked (with thumbnail image) at the bottom of all pages…sort of like a footer. Perhaps this is really outside the scope of being specifically modern template related. Thanks for your time with help that you’ve provided.

thank you both for responding and for pointing me to the demo page. It’s working the same way my site is working so it’s working as it should. I ended up adding a ‘home’ link in the top menu as you have so it’s an obvious way to return to home page.

The way the featured page/image would drop down on the page made it feel somewhat like a ‘pop up’ page.

I have been reading the manual which helped greatly in learning to set up the featured posts

On my home page, posts that are not featured display at the bottom of the page in a white box which include the date and the text ‘continue reading. Is there any way to remove the date?

Is there a way to make these non featured posts display on all pages?

Being translation-ready, is this related to being multi-language?

    Thanks

?? I’m at a loss as to what to do with the Translation Options. widget_ample_call_to_action_widget is not in the list. I tried adding ample, language_switcher_options and nav_menu_options which didn’t change the outcome. This is what is available to choose from:

    accordions_customer_type
    accordions_version
    ample
    auto_core_update_notified
    category_children
    db_upgraded
    jqlb_automate
    jqlb_comments
    jqlb_help_text
    jqlb_margin_size
    jqlb_navbarOnTop
    jqlb_resize_on_demand
    jqlb_resize_speed
    jqlb_show_download
    languageswitcher_options
    nav_menu_options
    ps_user_roles
    responsive_lightbox_configuration
    responsive_lightbox_settings
    responsive_lightbox_version
    shortcoder_data
    shortcoder_flags

I did find WPGlobus settings for WPGlobus Translate Options, languageswitcher_options. I’m checking that out to see what I’m supposed to do with it.

    Hi

Thanks for responding so quickly. I installed wpglobus translate options plugin and the same thing is happening. When I installed wordpress I changed the prefix from wp to something else. Could that affect it?

    Thread Starter Mary

    (@ilhaverde)

In the database I can see that all info for the TG:call to action widgets is contained in the ps_options table under the option_name widget_ample_call_to_action_widget. If I knew how it should look I could add the spanish url redirect in the database. Perhaps someone knows how the button_url should look for both languages?

    I tried changing

    “button_url”;s:6:”/about”;}s:12:”

    to

    “button_url”;s:6:”{:en}/about{:}{:es}/es/about{:}”;}s:12:”

which did not work. It prevented the widgets from appearing on the front end.
