In reply to: blog theme – problems installationYeah, sounds like linking then. There’s a link to the .CSS file of a template (usually within the templates index.php or header.php) to tell it where to find it. If it’s not linked right then it won’t see it, and neither will WP
Sounds like by moving files around you’ve got them linked up right :o)
Glad it’s sorted!

In reply to: scribble, scribble, scribble…I’d say that’s very appropriate for writing content. Very spacious and not detracting from the words. I’m working on something simplistic myself for the same reasons.
Great job! :o)

In reply to: Images not appearing in WordPress blog and adminIf I right click and view image for your header, I get:
“You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/themes/coffee_cup/images/coffeehead.jpg on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
There are a few threads with these problems ocurring I think, maybe they can help! Sorry I’m of no more use :oS

In reply to: can’t save in theme editorWell I’m not very bright at a lot of this lol but afaik setting permissions to 777 means it can be written by anybody that can access the file (via some link to the server like WP or FTP)
If you don’t have Anon FTP activated then I shouldn’t think it would be a problem unless someone hacks into your WP or server first!
Someone correct me if I’m talking nonsense lol

In reply to: Sidebar ok in Firefox but way off in IE?Already checked sidebar content for nortie pushers but my only pic is far narrower than the sidebar which is set to percentages…
Looking very closely at the CSS though, I found an IE fix set to _width: 28%; Which changed to 23% (slow deduction) solved the problem!
Many thanks

In reply to: Seperate THEME for pagesDownload a copy of the default theme index file from your URL and link it to a downloaded copy of the CSS then view it in your browser locally? When you’re done, upload the CSS

In reply to: Gallery 2 with LESS integration?lol I have a tooth with a dead root awaiting a root canal and 2 other teeth wanting fillings… xmas has been a nightmare! Was in agony until the thing croaked :o.
Hmm so you want it integrated for the sidebar functionality but just not the gallery being viewed within your blog?
I’ll bet you can keep the plugin and pull the gallery out to it’s own page with some code tweaking somehow…

In reply to: upload filesCan’t you FTP your files up to your space? then link to them :o)

In reply to: can’t save in theme editorIn theme editor, anything that comes up on the right may be editable when set to 777 but I’ve never used it for anything other than the CSS, always FTP’d the other stuff
Try it and see if it works :o)
