In reply to: different domain name for sub blogOkay… I had the DNS wildcard already in place because I had a few other sub blogs. I went in the domain mapping section and selected the id number of the blog and the domain name I want it to go to. In the site section the domain name is in the mapping column.. but the domain name still does not direct to the blog I wish it too. What did I do wrong?

In reply to: different domain name for sub blogAwsome, thank so much for the plug in link. I am a bit confused. The tutorial mentions changing around the DSN entries… do I do that with my original domain name at illyaking.com or do I do that with my other domain? I am using Go Daddy by the way… I haven’t seen at parked domain option.

In reply to: different domain name for sub blogOkay, I am looking at this… do I have to create a sub directory with a instal of WordPress first?
What I would like to do is to log on my main site dashboard but be able to get to the other site using the backend option in the super dashboard.

In reply to: Image upload issueHi Andrea,
Found the file in the DOCS section. Thank you so much for the code. That fixed it. It works with the subdirectories.
But since I started to screw around with editing the main site option, so that’ll be fun to figure out. But again, thank you.

In reply to: Image upload issueHi Andrea,
I just did that right now and I am still not seeing the images. I read the read me file that came with the upload. Would you happen to have a link to the upgrade instructions?
Thanks so much

In reply to: Broken media library and can’t view newly added mediaI’ve tried changing the permission of the blog.dir files and nothing either.

In reply to: Broken media library and can’t view newly added mediaI don’t get it either. I went in the back end and changed the upload directory to wp-content/uploads and it still defaults to files
I am beginning to think that if you don’t have a degree in programming your pretty much screwed.

In reply to: Image upload issueHi,
I really want to fix this issue with my site as well.
I am really confused. I’ve spend 2 hours trying to figure this out.
this is my .htaccessRewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /#uploaded files
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-content/blogs.php?file=$2 [L]# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule . – [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]<IfModule mod_security.c>
<Files async-upload.php>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</Files>
</IfModule>What code do I need to add in there so that I can upload images to my blog using the Media Uploading function?

In reply to: Not seeing the Network function on the tools sectionOkay… I see what I may have done.
I entered the server IP address than the dedicated IP address.
I added the new wildcard.Would I have to reinstall MU and the database?

Would this help creating different blogs for my users?

In reply to: Not seeing the Network function on the tools sectionI’ve also tried in the dashboard adding a site on the My Sites opition. When I tried making a site that way I get a 403 forbidden. Am I missing that I should install a copy of wordpress there and the map it using domain mapper?

In reply to: Not seeing the Network function on the tools sectionI’ve also been going through the settings to see if there is something I can do from there as well. But I haven’t found the solution yet. Do I have to reinstall the MU application?
