Ok, so simple enough… I was overlooking PHP as a solution. I updated my .htaccess with my custom code BEFORE the wp code and then added header(“HTTP/1.1 200 OK”); to my non-Word Press php page (a couple of times before and after the get_header stuff) and it works. Returning 200s now.
