Yours is the first collection I’ll look at when I tackle my next project. By the way I already have a StudioPress account from before they sold the company. Your themes blow theirs away.

Okay, after some more searching I found the slider to increase the height of the logo area. It was in the customizer under Theme Options > Styling > Header Logo Image Max-height. So I would like to say never mind and issue resolved. I don’t know why I didn’t see it before.

Thanks for all the hard work this theme must have taken. It’s way better than I expected.

Update: I was able to use the Chrome element inspector to identify the .site-title class and I added the following code in the customizer:

.site-title {
line-height: 150px;
}

While this did increase the height visually it only works properly with the title. It remains centered with the correct font size/color. However when I try the logo image instead it’s still shoved against the upper left corner and reduced in size. I guess this class is only for the title and not the container in general. If this is a block that’s great but it doesn’t appear when I edit.

Thank you fine sir. I got it to work. I will add for any other readers the size and aspect ratio of the featured image matters when placing it on the front page. I found 600x340px worked well.

May I suggest a new feature? It would be helpful if multiple Simple News widgets could be placed with each widget populated by different news items, perhaps sorted by category. For instance, a ‘News’ widget and a separate ‘Endorsements’ widget. Maybe that leads away from simplicity, but I thought I’d mention it since you obviously take pride in your work. Thanks again, Bill
