Hi @bruceallen
My hosting provider asked me to ad some code into my htaccess file. Now another message appears visiting the url of my smlrpc.php.
But there are some questions:
1) Isn′t it possible anymore to ad a self hosted site to wordpress.com without a subscription?
2) If I try to connect the woocommerce app in my iphone to my store, this app seems to find my store now (it was not before adding the code I mentioned above). But then the app asks me to use jetpack. So using the woo-app is not possible without using jetpack?
3) Then try to activate jetpack on my site still returns an error “An error occurred. Please try again.”…so I guess the code I added did not solve any issue.
thats frustrating, because everything worked (until the testing of woo-payments on my stagged site). Thanks for further help!
Andreas…I do not use jetpack.
I installed it to check if I am able to connect via this plugin…but no result. So jetpack is deinstalled at the moment. Thanks
AndreasHi @bruceallen
I did some homework:
– my hosting provider does not block rpc
– I use wordfence and a xmlrpc pingback plugin, but deactivating them changes nothing
– I did not set any restrictions in my functions.php or any other placeIn fact, everything was working fine before using WP Stagging to check some woocommerce payment issues.
– I was connected to wordpress.com
– My iPhone was connected to the woocommerce app
– I did not change any relevant plugin or code since thenAny other ideas? Why my xmlrpc is blocked?
Thanks!
Andreassolved!
…was just a combination of options from woo and plugin…OKThis is solved!
…the name of the option in the woo-settings to activate the password field is not as expected if you search for a password field…;-)
-> By deactivating the “email a password link” you enable the password field…OK, now I know! ??
Hi @xue28
The easyest would be to have a “password” field on the registration page!
How can this be done??Thanks,
Andreas…it would be great to promt the user to set a password, after verification!

In reply to: [NSFW] [reCAPTCHA for WooCommerce] Invalid site keyHi!
Thanks for your response!
– yes, the layout is comming from my theme. The compatibility with my theme is already checked several times! Thats not the issue.
– the layout you see from my login/register site is ok. But thats not the problem! The problem is, when you enter an email address an press “register”…! Then you will enter the myaccount page WITHOUT confirming the sent email – and this behaviour comes from woo, the theme just does the layout, right?
Thanks!

In reply to: [NSFW] [reCAPTCHA for WooCommerce] Invalid site keyAnd on the google recapcha admin site I get the following notice:
“We detected that your site is not verifying reCAPTCHA solutions. This is required for the proper use of reCAPTCHA on your site. Please see our developer site for more information.”
…any ideas?
Thanks
AndreasHi @bruceallen
Yes, it is installed on a subdirectory.
https://www.imagostudio.at/imagostudio/
– the xmlrpc file in in this subdirectory
– in my htaccess I cannot find any entries with “xmlrpc”
– I use wordfence, but xmlrpc blocking is not active/and deactivating wordfence does not change my attemts to connect to wordpress.comhttps://cloudlogin03.world4you.com/index.php/s/61hNTNS8wdT5UV2
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Not able to “ad payment method” on myaccount pageHello @babylon1999
Thanks for your response!
So at the moment, your suggestion to connect to wordpress.com, is the problem.
My site was correctly connected to wordpress.com, but after the testing (using a stagging site) my connection got damaged in therms of that the connection on wordpress.com pointed to the stagging site – dont ask me why, I did not change anything there…
So I deleted the connection to the stagging site and tried to reconnect the live-site… But on wordpress.com I am now ending up in a dialog buying… I could not get the dialog, I used in the past, to only connect (and not changing DNS and so on…)
Did the connection dialog change that much? Or do I overlook here something? Or is there an issue with my wordpress.com account? Should be quite easy to connect an domain, I know, I did this in the past several times…!?
And can you please have a look onto my second thread:

In reply to: [NSFW] [reCAPTCHA for WooCommerce] Invalid site key…hi again!
I turns out, that the capcha at the frontend is working now…I did not change anything since the latest testing…but not it seems to work…!?
But the test in the plugin-settings still returns a error:
“Failed! There is an error with your API settings. Please check & update them.
Error Code:”
-> but with no error code…i just get the message i pasted!
Must be an issue with the testing window only?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [NSFW] [reCAPTCHA for WooCommerce] Invalid site keyHi!
Thanks for your quick response!
Here′s what I did:
– I already double checked
– I already made a new one
– I selected v2
– The domain is correct
– I tried the same key with another recaptcha plugin (but like to use yours)
– And I completed the reCAPTCHA making the Test, of course.Any other ideas?
Thanks
Andreas
