I may be confused or maybe I wasn’t clear. The file has already been uploaded to the Media library but for some reason ONLY image files are displayed when I want to insert a Media file (Which seems redundant since I could have inserted and Image file if I wanted an image file). I am given the option of uploading the file but it still does not appear in my Media options available to insert but…. If give up on the inserting and I go directly to my Media Library I can see that I’ve successfully uploaded ANOTHER copy of my pdf file even though neither are available to select from within a “block”.
In reading your directions it sounds like I’m have different options. When I’m in a block (Visual mode) I have 3 options to the far right “Add Media & Text”, “Images” and “Photo Gallery”. No “Files” option so I’m guessing that you meant the same option I’ve been trying to use. (“Add Media & Text”) but only the images in my Media Library are displayed as the options available to me.

It is interesting to note that within the Media Library there are 2 selection boxes available. “Dates” Which also appears when trying to insert Media files and a selection for file types (Which does NOT appear when trying to insert Media files) The options should be “All media items”, “Images”, “unattached”, and “Mine”. For some strange reason, my Media files have been filtered to ONLY display “Images” but there is not box to change that selection to “All media items” as it is in the Media Library.

Wordpress version 5.1.1 and Sydney 1.54

I just deactivated it and the problem disappeared. Thanks! ldifraia is no longer a member of the organization so at some point I’ll need to learn how to fix that directory problem but at this moment we have no errors.

Your code worked beautifully once I located the plugin and disabled it. Now I better find out if I’ve broken something that needed that plugin to function.

I’m just grateful for your assistance whenever you have the time to reply. No apology necessary. I’ve recently taken over maintaining the website for one of the organizations that I belong to. I can tell you that I have not added any plugins at all. Only updates for those that were already being used. I very much doubt that my predecessor used one but if you can tell me how to verify it, I’d be happy to double check. In the meantime, I’ll do some exploring and see if I can find any instructions on viewing installed plugins.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I just wanted to clarify whether or not your suggestions 1-3 eliminate the event or just hides it from the calendar. I do not want to eliminate the event. I just want to find a way to display the information correctly.

As I mentioned in my first message I tried but when I navigate to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS I get a “Childify me” button. Your instructions do mention what to do with that or how to get around it. That seems to be my only obstacle keeping me from pasting that code.
I was hoping you could help with that part.

I’m having the same problem with my menu displaying on 2 lines. I tried following the directions about but instead of getting a page of css code to edit, I got a “Childify me” button. I don’t know anything about that and since it was not mentioned in the otherwise very clear instructions, I hesitate to select that option.
Please let me know if that IS part of the process to add that additional css code.

Yes, I did check out the link but the 12 questions that were answered seemed to be geared to plugins in general. No specific help on how to use Photo Gallery. So I’ll be routinely be asking my questions in this forum.

So… The “User Guide” REALLY is just a list of things that can be done but there’s no documentation on HOW to do them? I was sure that I was just missing something.
