i copied the single-event.php to my child-theme in the folder /tribe-events/ and replaced this code on top. but nothing changed…

In the Logs there is no entry and no failure. I treid also to work with a example from you like the “One-time Review Request with 7 day delay“. Its not possible to send a test email.
