Hi @stefankroesbergen, I am sorry to hear that the fix “Prevents orders purchased using a 3DS card being stuck as “pending payment” for stores with the Legacy Checkout Experience setting enabled.” in version 8.3.1 did not work for you and instead made matters worse.
We’d like to look into this for you to see if we need to forward this to our developers. Can you open a ticket for this issue? If you already have a ticket with us, can you share the ticket ID so we look into this for you?
On a side note, is there a reason why you’re still using the Legacy Checkout Experience? Please note that it is recommended to switch to the new checkout experience as the Legacy Checkout Experience is using the Source API that Stripe will be shutting down and will soon disable non-card payment methods that still use it. This could leave your customers with fewer payment options.
Hi @strategio and @jtleathers, I completely understand your concern and indeed this feature is preferred by some.
However, removing the ability to enter stripe keys manually is intentional and does not prevent store owners from connecting their Stripe accounts in test mode. In fact, it makes it easier and safer as you cannot connect a Stripe account that you are not logged into. Please note that security is important and should be prioritized in all cases.
Also, you can connect multiple sites to your Stripe account so having one website used for test purposes should not be a problem.

I checked on our end and was unable to find a bug report that matches your issue. The closest issue I could find was that of the Square Gift Card image being added to merchants’ sites which was confusing in some cases as they did not add the image themselves.
If this images is being largely duplicated on your site, then it is specific to your site and we will be happy to look into this further for you. Can you share the ID of the ticket from your previous ticket with me so I can take a look at it?

However, we noticed an error in that release and fixed it in the new version 8.3.1 which has now been released. You can update the Stripe plugin to see if that fixes your issue. If the issue persists, feel free to open a ticket with us so we can look into this further for you.

I would like to note that Square extension can accept payment via Card Payments, Digital Wallets (Apple Pay/Google Pay), Gift Cards, and CashApp Pay for US merchants/customers.
If you need a specific payment method added to your site, you can reach out to us in a ticket and we will advice on what payment gateway to use to achieve that.

While you made some valid points about some features not being available like the Square Loyalty and the inability to have more than one location on the site, we know this is an important feature and it is in our development roadmap.
