  • I tested it again with 1.4.2, and it seems the problem is resolved for me. Thanks for the good work!

Deactivating the Jetpack plugin completely fixes the problem with Tailor.

I re-activated Jetpack, then I deactivated all the individual plugins, and the problem was still fixed.

I then re-activated things one at a time. I stopped when Tailor stopped working.

In my case, it was the Sharing plugin within Jetpack. With that disabled, Tailor works fine, but if it is enabled, the pages all become uneditable.

I can’t say if there aren’t other plugins within Jetpack that have similar effects, but I can say for sure in my case, Sharing was the one causing the problem.

    My active plugin list:

    Akismet
    All in One SEO Pack
    Contact Form 7
    Google XML sitemaps
    Jetpack
    Podcasting plugin by TSG
    Really Simple CAPTCHA
    Shortcode Star Rating
    Tailor
    Wordfence Security
    WP Complete Backup
    WP Super Cache
    WP-Mail-SMTP

I’m using a custom child theme based on Flat Bootstrap.

I DO have Jetpack installed, and I disabled the Publicize module within it, however the problem persists, so I’m confident that’s not the source of the conflict in my case. It may be something else somewhere in Jetpack though, I’m still experimenting.

Same problem here. Can’t add any elements to any pages.

    Console error reads:
The page canvas could not be initialized. This could be caused by a plugin or theme conflict.(anonymous function) @ canvas.min.js?ver=1.3.7:1
    util.js:210
