In reply to: Twenty Ten spacing querySorted! I’ve deactivated the facebook plugin and it seems to have solved the problem.
Thank you for doing the validator thing – much appreciated.

In reply to: Twenty Ten spacing queryGreat, that’s helpful.
How do I remove the FB plugin that’s causing this problem?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Twenty Ten spacing queryIt’s the space between the ‘content’ and ‘footer’ section. Footer section being the very bottom bit of each webpage that has my contact details, copyright stuff, etc.
Have a look here:

In reply to: Not WYSIWYGYip, had a read and it all makes perfect sense. However, I still don’t understand how to do it.
I did the W3 org, and W3C validator and 25 errors and 47 warnings come up. Unless you understand code and know to fix it, I guess you’re kinda stuck – like me.

In reply to: Not WYSIWYGUm, err … English?
I have no idea what that means, or what it does. Please explain how to do this ??

In reply to: Extra space and textNo, not that space.
Please don’t worry. I’ve had a look on someone else’s computer and it doesn’t appear to be that big of a space to fret about.
I have also removed the extra text bit. So all is sorted.
Thanks for your input anyway,

In reply to: Extra space and textIt’s on the bottom of ALL pages.
Scroll down to the very bottom of my homepage. See the image at the very bottom of the content page “Our copywriting sepcialists ….”
Well, directly under that image is a largish space between the solid black line above:
Impact copywriting …………. All words copyright ………. web design ………. facebook link
I want to decrease that space (between the bottom image and the line. Make sense?

In reply to: Extra space and textI’m quite a novice and have no idea what I’m doing. I had a look at Firebug and to be totally honest, it blew me away. I’m not confident at installing external plugins and not knowing how to use them. I have many plugins installed and don’t even know how to use them – go figure!
Makes you wonder why I even have a website? At least I’m trying though.
I was just hoping there was another, more convenient way to make these changes with what I currently have. Surely there’s a CSS code to fix these issues? I’ve tried looking but I have no idea what code I’m looking for. Catch 22.

In reply to: Twenty Ten MarginsAwesome. Thank you very much.

In reply to: Twenty Ten MarginsWOW … you are a STAR!
Thank you ever so much. It worked and I have now altered the content page so that it ‘looks’ more appealing to my eye. Woop, woop.
Where are all of these codes kept? It will be useful to find them.
I also want to get rid of some blank space between the padding and the widget area … done some searching but can’t find any codes.
Thank you once again. Much appreciated.

In reply to: Twenty Ten MarginsBut then again … I guess it’s specifically designed like this as its easier to read?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Twenty Ten MarginsAah, that makes sense – like a puzzle.
All I want to do is change (increase) the width of the content section on each page with no sidebar.
Have a look at my website: https://www.impactcopywriting.co.uk
As is stands, the content (text) area of each page starts slightly after the ‘second page heading’ (Why hire a copywriter), and ends a fraction after ‘Copy Clinic’. I want to increase the content area (body copy) so that it starts in line with the second heading, and ends with the penultimate heading. Understand?
So we’re just increasing the content space. Is this possible to do?

In reply to: Twenty Ten MarginsThanks for your reply. I have Jetpack installed and have the CSS Stylesheet Editor installed. I just don’t know the code to make the alteration I require.
I’ve done some searching on the forums, but have come across zilch.
