In reply to: I can access my websiteHello,
You may try to remove the permissions on the wp-content/plugin folder through FTP or your web hosting provider’s file manager. You could change permissions to 000.
Or you could simply move the folder to a different location.

In reply to: Deleting Spam Comments that don't appear in dashboard?Yes, this query would make sense if the comments are flagged as spam.
Before you complete any further edits, I’d suggest generating a full local backup on your account (as you’ve noted it’s too large for you to download locally). If your host provides cPanel you should be able to go to Files category -> Backups.

In reply to: How do you add code to .htaccess? The answer is that it depends on what you are adding.
If you want a certain redirect to take place before the WordPress code, add it above. Otherwise you are typically fine with adding it below the WordPress default code.

In reply to: Converting from Dreamweaver to WordPressAs these appear to just be HTML pages, it would be most likely a lot of copying/pasting from the raw HTML text into an individual WordPress page or post. I highly doubt you’re going to find any sort of automated process to do this.

In reply to: What IP Address do updates come from? From my understanding WordPress doesn’t update at all through sFTP or SSH. Most shared hosting accounts don’t even offer SSH, so that wouldn’t make much sense to start.
What is the error that you see when you lock down the SSH port and sFTP?
The other alternative is that you complete a manual update when needed from your local files.
