Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Unable to Access DashboardI’m not sure what happened, but suddenly the website started working again.
I cranked through the WordPress dashboard and removed all unused themes, then ran through the plugins to disable everything. We’re stable now.
I’m planning on touching base with our hosting provider to see what happened, as I’m not entirely sure what the issue was. Disabling plugins and removing old themes did bring us back to a stable state at least.

In reply to: Unable to Access DashboardFound out how to get to the file manager through my web host.
Renamed all my themes (we have about a dozen and I don’t know which is our active theme) to *-RENAME per the first “manually resetting your plug-ins” link provided. No dice.
Renamed the plugins folder to “plugins.HOLD” per the same link, still no dice.
Fun times.

In reply to: Unable to Access DashboardThanks for the quick response t-p!
SFTP doesn’t work – it times out when attempting to connect.
I admittedly don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to the “manually resetting your plugins” link… I am not a website developer and am a volunteer for this nonprofit. I tried my best to install the phpMyAdmin and get it going, but I seem to be hitting a brick wall with that option. At this point, I’m hoping I can catch when the website comes back online on it’s own, and see if I can quickly disable all the plugins at that point…

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Dan's Embedder for Google Calendar] How to Embed calendarI’m also having an issue with embedding the calendar – I’ve opted to embed the google calendar via iframe for the time being. The plug-in is still installed, and I’ve added both [dancal] and [dancal-list] after the iframe via the shortcode blocks.
Test Page: https://www.inclusivekc.org/schedule/
Steps I’ve taken:
1. Install the plug-in via the website:
WordPress > Plug-ins > Add New > “Dan’s Embedder for Google Calendar”
2. Activated the plug-in
3. Updated the plug-in settings:
WordPress > Tools > Dan’s gCal
a. Google Calendar API Key (https://console.developers.google.com/)
– Select a Project > “New Project” > Create
– Library > “Google Calendar API” > Enable > Manage > Credentials
– “Create Credentials” > “API Key”
b. Google Calendar ID
– calendar.google.com > Select my Calendar > Select “…” > “Settings & Sharing”
– Access Permissions: Make Available to Public
– Integrate Calendar: Calendar ID
