I should also give a shout out to Judd at jexanalytics.com – he wrote me a couple of great plugins for the site. The best one is for the Pages – it allows the comments to show as a link instead of just showing them all by default. One of the things I hate about WP.

When you changed hosts, the DNS record tied to that site was likely deleted. I had the same problem and I had to have my hosting company go add the record back in. It was ugly.

I am also getting spam in my comments on posts where the comments are closed. (I’m using Autoclose Comments plugin by Scott Hanson)

It doesn’t seem like it should be possible to post any comment, spam or otherwise when the comments are closed. I’ve gone to the specific posts and verified that I cannot post a comment.

Well, personally i just hardcode things into the sidebar.php file when I want to do them out of alpha order…

If you have access to your sql database… for instance phpMyadmin, you can look up and change your email. Go to the wp database, select the users table, and browse. You’ll see your username, and next to it, your email. You can edit the line to whatever email you like.

That’s a damn good question, and now i’m going to spend some time working on it…

What I mean is that if you put the form under Write > Page, it will work. If you put it under Write > Post, it will not work.

Sometime’s it’s hard to comprehend why people are trying to solve a problem when you don’t understand what they’re talking about. If you like posting thumbs that click through to the full size image, then you probably don’t think there’s anything wrong…

There are several hacks available for people who prefer to post full-size images in their posts rather than thumbs. I’m using one written by member jaybarrow which works beautifully.

WP creates a folder structure that goes like this:

WP-CONTENT > Uploads > 2006 > 01
