In reply to: Category PageThe way I’ve done it was simply to create a new category called Movie Reviews. I then edited all movie review posts by checking the category marked movie reviews, hey presto -a new category, link and page containing only movie reviews.
Unless I’m missing what you trying to do.
You could also make this a child category to parent category if you want it to appear in another cat as well.

In reply to: upload header image for new theme (connections)Thanks for the help. I have sussed it out with the use of https://www.megaproxy.com
Where I’m based in the Middle East my host nation has a censorship policy that bans particular content – it’s supposed to be for religous purposes – but it is just as regularly used to block services that might affect the profit margin of the state owned telecoms such as skype, p2p and other networking solutions.
From what I can gather their censorship proxy seems to cache certain pages locally for around 8-12 hours. A pain in the butt when you’re trying to edit a live site.
Chris has a few good articles and a how-to on his site: https://www.chrisdiclerico.com/2006/03/31/how-to-bypass-the-damned-proxy-server-and-access-any-website-in-dubai
Thanks again

In reply to: Please Suggest a Good Webhosting ServiceI have found these guys pretty good for webhosting during my recent switch https://www.hostwey.co.uk/
Their support usually respond within three hours or so, it’s a php/mysql set up with a load of pre-installed software – such as wordpress – that you activate through a plesk backend.
I use 1and1 for domain registration and email hosting as the email bandwidth offered is greater and I like all my domains to be in one place – but I felt the hosting package hostwey offered was better for blogging.

In reply to: upload header image for new theme (connections)Just installed and tried that – no joy yet again – think I’ll have to go and find another theme before the head shaped dent in my wall gets any bigger.
Cheers

In reply to: upload header image for new theme (connections)Fair enough Yosemite – but apart from deleting the cache locally, any other suggestions for sorting out a cache problem?
So far I have tried the following:
Deleting cache, all histories and offline files locally.
Removing files individually on the server.
Overwriting all files on the server.
Completely deleting then reinstalling theme (Both Connections and Connections Reloaded). Methods for changing header image used so far.
Name image file the same as original theme and delete/overwrite.
Change file name in style.css and upload new file and css.None of the above work, but I have not had this problem with any other theme today – to test I have changed the header image in Kubrick, Adventure01 and SemiLogic all with no problems using multiple images.
Now where did I put me candles?

In reply to: upload header image for new theme (connections)Yup, tried all the usual methods already, clearing the cache and refreshing on the server side as well as locally – no joy I’m afraid.
Any more ideas out there?

In reply to: upload header image for new theme (connections)I’ve found the same problem switching to Connections Reloaded. No matter what I try the theme won’t let me change the header either by replacing the current image or by updating the css code to link to a new image.
Any suggestions? I’m stumped.
Swapping images using either of the above techniques takes all of around 30 seconds usually just doesn’t seem to work with this theme.
Cheers.
