In reply to: 4.5 seems to have broken sub-sitesOn the BeWellandProsper site, the image is supposed to be at
https://bewellandprosper.net/files/2015/08/peach-headerJPG.jpg
That location shows up in the Customize view. And that’s where the correct image is located in the directory
https://ssnet.org/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/14/files/2015/08/peach-headerJPG.jpgSo it appears that something in the WordPress setup is not recognizing that
https://ssnet.org/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/14/files/2015/08/peach-headerJPG.jpg
is the same as

In reply to: 4.5 seems to have broken sub-sites@demirbey, I found the jquery.migrate.js file and I made the change you suggested.
I cleared my browser cache, but it made no difference in the sites. Still no graphics. Still no theme settings. Even the header image is missing on one site.

In reply to: 4.5 seems to have broken sub-sitesThanks, demirbey, but if you’re referring to the Community Builder plugin, I don’t use it.
Haven’t changed a think in those sites since they were working fine EXCEPT for upgrading WordPress.

In reply to: [Amazon Link Engine] I can't see localization workingAh … I see now that the link leads to Amazon.ca as it should.
I believe I clicked on “View now,” and that link led to Amazon.com.

In reply to: [Comments On Feed] Amazing Plugin! Works Flawlessly Jan 2015I made a mistake in my initial post:
The comment does not show up in the moderation queue, but it shows up in the comment stream, already approved.
Since the developer is from Persia and even his Persian blog hasn’t been updated since Dec 2014, we may have to consider this plugin abandoned.
It would be nice if someone could take this over. Having the comment appear in the moderation queue would be a distinct asset.

In reply to: All links in WordPress stopped workingThanks, Tara.
My question was based on the assumption that WP *needs* things in the .htaccess file to use symlinks.

In reply to: All links in WordPress stopped workingI see my .htaccess file was “updated” yesterday at 14:52 EST
The current file as 0 bytes. I assume that would explain why the Symlinks were not working.Am I correct?
(Still no idea why my original .htaccess file was overwritten.)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: All links in WordPress stopped workingThanks, Tara. I read that section of the codex before choosing the “Post name” structure without any modification. I can’t see anything that changed on that page. I originally figured that choosing one of the preset options should be pretty safe.
I need the “Post name” structure because there are thousands of links on Facebook with that structure, and our Facebook page has a weekly average reach of over 100,000.
I’m guessing I need to re-examine my .htacccess file, but I would feel better if I had any hunch regarding what caused the problem.
It occurred to me that something may have changed on my Apache server. “Follow symlinks” is enabled by default, but maybe I should check to see if some kind of update disabled it. Am having that checked out.

In reply to: All links in WordPress stopped workingThank you, Tara.
Resetting links to “Default” resolved the problem.
However, the setting I had was the default “Post Name,” and I want it back.
What could have corrupted it?

In reply to: All links in WordPress stopped workingThanks for the feedback, Tara, but could you explain why the same permalink structure that has worked perfectly for years with the current .htaccess file would suddenly stop working?
What did you put after the “

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Nothing appearsSure enough, the Virtual Management Page was disable. So I enabled it, but I still got the Page not found error.
<sigh>

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Plugin stopped working todayThanks. I’d appreciate that.

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Nothing appearsH’mm … I get the same “Page not found” error when I click on the “Click here” link as I get on my own site.
So it appears it’s not my plugins (it’s unlikely you are using the same ones), but this plugin (subscribe-to-comments-reloaded) that is broken.
What a shame!!

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Plugin stopped working todayPerhaps the plugin conflicts with some of my other *important* plugins. But it’s not working at all for me right now.
So I disabled it.
WordPress does warn that this plugin has not been tested with the current version of WordPress. That may be significant. (It has not been updated for 5 months.)
It was great while it worked …
