I fugured out what the problem was.. I had old blogger directories named 2005 and when wp tried to access .com/2005/blah.php it searched in the 2005 directory and returned a 404 error… well thats fixed..

the whole reason I deleted and reinstalled/imported is because I cant post any comments…. the page hangs at https://www.arrogantly.com/wp-comments-post.php … been 4 days since I’ve been with this error and am jusy about to give up on it.

ok.. now I deleted everything, didnt import anything, clean install, no plugins, no nothing and still same error.. cant access the comments page.

well no, even I am on godaddy and I imported without changing any db info

actually did, but the author has defined some custom styles which I cannot comprehend… to be honest I cant figure out which part of the css targets the button images and hence.. if there was a generic way to go about this I could try

I have set up everything, the quicktags work but I just want to get rid of those horrible windows buttons and sass it up with some buttons like those from the rin theme….. I am sure that somebody else might have had a wish for the same.. but all searches led in vain.. somebody helppppp…

I can reproduce this error on 1.5.1.1 as well… I have posted a message on the authors blog, I am sure he will come up with a solution. I have half an inkling to delete that upgrade declaration on line 6 but prudence says NO… keeping my fingers crossed and hope that the author can find a solution.

If not, I will install the old 1.5 version, get my comments in, then upgrade to 1.5.1.2 haha

I decided to go with Jinsan’s suggestion.. that is the only possible solution.. thanks Jinsan

wasnt something in comments edited for 1.5.1.2 as a safety measure.. could this be the cause?

I did everything as listed out.

Deleted all the files from the root, then uploaded the 1.5.1.2 files

Delete the two folders and then uploaded it again.. its got to be something else… any help would be appreciated.

is there a way wherein you can display only around 10-12 of your fav smilies rather than all available smilies …

it works.. it works.. it works.. I had just placed the code, on the wrong line… now its perfect.. I just have to get the mouse focus corrected thats all.. else works perfectly.
