To solve your problem we need extended information about your plugin installation. In order to get the file with the extended information, please, follow these steps:
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard (sample screenshot – https://i.imgur.com/ReuN5rZ.png).
- Go to “Watson Assistant” -> “Set Up Chatbot” in the left menu (sample screenshot – https://i.imgur.com/zFebbQi.png).
- On the “Set Up Your Chatbot” page go to “Having Issues?” tab (sample screenshot – https://i.imgur.com/YarnnMD.png).
- On the “Having Issues?” tab, download a full log file with extended information by following the link (sample screenshot – https://i.imgur.com/ZRDa4tr.png). Don’t publish it openly on sites like WordPress Forums as it may contain sensitive information.
- Send email with description of your issue and attached file to [email protected].

Apparently you are using incorrect data to connect your Watson Assistant.
To integrate the Watson Assistant service into your website, follow these steps:- Go to your IBM Cloud Dashboard. If nothing shows up, be patient. Sometimes it takes a while to load.
- Click on your Watson Assistant service name in Services list.
- Click “Launch Watson Assistant” (sample screenshot).
- On the tool’s page go to “Assistants” tab.
- On the Assistants tab, call the menu of your Assistant by clicking on the “threee dots” button on the right and select “Settings” in the menu (sample screenshot).
- On the Assistant Settings tab, select “API Details” from the menu on the left.
- Copy “Assistant URL” and “Api Key” values (sample screenshot).
- Please fill Username field with “apikey” word.

We reviewed the log file you provided, but did not find any errors that could lead to the indicated problem in the plugin. We also checked the plugin’s work on both versions of your site, and could not reproduce this problem. Please see sample screenshots: for German version for Swiss version. Apparently the error occurs only on the dev versions of the sites. The most likely cause of the problem is the htpasswd protection, which blocks the plugin’s POST requests. In addition, the cache on your server or any of the installed plugins may be the cause of this problem. To eliminate them, please clean the cache on the server and try turning off other plugins one by one each time checking your site.
