    Hi

Many thanks for your reply, greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, that hasn’t sorted the problem, never mind!

I don’t think it’s a server issue as I have other sites on the same one that are ok. However, I’ve just sent them a support ticket just in case.

Thanks again! If you think of anything else please do let me know.
    Cheers

    Update No. 2

I’ve re-installed all files and there is some good news but the problem is still not solved.

I now no longer get any error message when I go into wp-admin / Dashboard.

If I go to the live site, there is no error message but still nothing is showing, it’s a completely blank screen.

Whilst in wp-admin the only time I get error messages is now when I try to access Themes. I get:

“Warning: ksort() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /home/introdor/public_html/wp-admin/themes.php on line 41

Warning: array_slice() [function.array-slice]: The first argument should be an array in /home/introdor/public_html/wp-admin/themes.php on line 62″

When I try to access Plugins in wp-admin I no longer get an error message but it is still telling me:

“You do not appear to have any plugins available at this time.”

When I am in the main Dashboard screen it tells me I have 26 widgets, which sounds correct. However, when I go to Widgets under Appearance I am told:

“The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware…..”

It appears to me that the problem stems from the Themes folder. On the server all the themes and plugins are, as far as I can see, correctly showing but because it isn’t recognising any theme, the live site is blank, there are no plugins or themes listed within the wp-admin dashboard.

Many thanks yet again in advance for any help and I look forward to hopefully hearing from someone soon.

    Cheers

    Quick update:

This just a couple of minutes after I posted the above….. I’ve just gone back into the Dashboard and without doing anything else I have now received two additional error messages on top of the one I already had, which is still there. The two new ones are:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/introdor/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php:1044) in /home/introdor/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 698

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/introdor/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php:1044) in /home/introdor/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 699

    Hope that helps!!

    Cheers

    Hi Otto42

Thanks very much for getting back to me. I will definitely try that although I did upload files as per the instructions which included deleting the wp-admin and wp-includes folders. As well as uploading the new versions of those I uploaded all the files to the root, kept the original .htaccess file and I combined the old and new wp-config.php files.

I have also deleted all my plugins and themes from the server and re-installed them but no change, everything is on the server and, as far I can tell, looks fine, but admin area is still stating no plugins or themes loaded, error messages still there and live site is still blank bar the error message.

Anyway, thanks again and I’ll try the reload but if you, or anyone else reading this, can think of anything else in light of the above, again, I’d be very very grateful to hear from you.

    Cheers

    Hi

    Good news!!!

Discovered what the problem was and all is solved.

It was the Subscribe Plugin itself, the one that was remaining at the top of the sidebar. It was out of date with the new version of WorpPress 2.6.2 and that plugin is now no longer widget based so it was messing everything else up!

Thanks for all your help though, got there a lot quicker because of it. A very frustrating afternoon but all has ended well! ??

    Hi

Totally agree on “football”, it will always be that to me, but global market and all that…!!

Thanks so much for your reply, greatly appreciated! Can I ask where you got that code from? Was it through View Source? I’m afraid I can’t find the

    –> </div>

in there nor in any of the theme’s files, like Sidebar, index, header? Looked everywhere.

Many many thanks for your help on this, looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Cheers
    Rik
