What do I do then, if it doesn’t “collect” that value? In my results, I want to show the percentage scored – score/max points, but it just show nothing [not zero, nothing] for max points.

I have posted this problem before, with only wisecapt responding. I also would pay to get this resolved. I need participants to register [required], then email sent to me with users’ name and email.
This seems rather basic to me, but I can’t find a way to do it short of using a membership program to require signup, then send user to quiz [sort of works, but very cumbersome]. There isn’t even a variable for email, so I do not think Xeno010 was planning on having this functionality.

Hope someone can come up with a solution.

Wisecapt, thank you very much for your input – I very much appreciate your taking the time to respond.

I can fully appreciate Xeno010’s situation, having been there myself. However, there are two sides to most stories. Someone who desires to use the plugin must rely on the fact that it works fully for them. While patience is a virtue, in the real world there sometimes just isn’t time to wait to get answers. I mentioned before that I would gladly pay to get what I need, instead of waiting for a “freebie.” Or Xeno010 might consider publishing the code so people can make whatever modifications they need – or selling the code to those who need changes.

SOLUTION TO EMAIL ISSUES. For anyone who might see this thread, and have similar email issues, I have found a good work-around to the plugins’ issues.

I want the plugin to collect the name and email of the user before giving out results. It appears incapable at this time to do that without making changes to the code. So; I am disabling the special fields, and anything to do with emails.

I am using the [paid] plug-in WishlistMember [but any membership plug-in will work for this use] to monetarize a part of my site. I simply created a page that potential users go to first, register as a member [free to use the quiz in my case], then they have access to the quiz. This way I collect the data I want, then send them on to the quiz. Problem solved, and as far as the quiz goes, the plug-in is nearly perfect for my use. I can’t find another plugin, or any quiz maker that allows a weighted point system for answers like WP-Pro-Quiz. My hat is off to Xeno010 for that part of the plugin.

    Hi Wisecapt:
It appears that Xeno010 has not responded to anything on the forum in about 10 months. It sounds like you know more than most of us about him; can you give us any insight into what the problem is? If it is a money issue with Xeno, I for one would rather pay for the plugin and get reasonable support rather than use something for free, have it work 80% of what you need, then be at a dead end on the last 20%.
If he is ill, or unable to respond, do you have any idea if someone else could get the script and maybe provide some support.
I like most things about the plugin, but I am at that 80% point, and I cannot possibly wait 10 months to maybe get help.

    Regards,
    George

    I solved the first question.

I am still stumped on the issue of registering, and receiving [the user] an email at the end.

Very sorry. I posted this under the wrong plugin.

    My apology

    Thank you.
Can you give me any clue to why this is happening? An I inadvertently using forbidden words? My questions are completely honest, if maybe mis-stated.

    Thank you, Jan.
How do I find theme sub-forums? Do I just go to ….support/theme/<theme>? Do all themes have their own sub-forum?
I am quite new to this, please forgive if this is a dumb question.

    Thank you very much, Kevin.
I have been avoiding like the plague learning HTML, but I guess the time has come. W3schools looks like the perfect way to dive in.
I appreciate your comments and help.

    Certainly.

No, I just want to add blue/underlining to specific links.

    Thank you.

I am HTML illiterate, but you make it easy enough that I can handle it. Thank you.

Given my illiteracy, can I ask an additional question? How do I make the link text blue and underlined as most linked text is?

    Again, thank you very much,
    George

    HI Bryce:
Any way you could let me know when you have that feature implemented?

    WOW!
I suspected that something like this existed, but had no idea how to find it. This is everything I could have asked for x 100.

Thank you so much for the advice.

Kevin, you are absolutely right! I’ve installed numerous plugins, and deactivated almost all of them. I did not notice that the Simple Page Sidebar was active.
My apology for confusing this entire issue with that oversight. As I said before, I am quite new at this, and I find myself making “newbie” errors.
Thank you for your very kind help – AND pointing out my biggest error in this.
    Regards,
    George

Oh, no, I am not using any sidebar plugin. I have your theme, and active plugins are Wishlist member and an editor – PlugNedit. When I say there are 14 sidebars, appearance> widgets, it shows 14 of them.
