We switched server hosting companies, and the new server only recognizes scheduled tasks that come from itself. This is a security precaution to prevent malware from scheduling destructive tasks. However, somewhere in the WordPress code it still has the old server’s information, so it appears to the new server that an outsider is trying to schedule tasks when I schedule blog posts to be published. We’ll have to locate the offending information and replace with the new information so it will match up. Crazy.

I think I’ve discovered the problem. It’s a server hosting issue, not one involving any WordPress plugin or anything like that. The problem isn’t solved yet, but we should have it fixed pretty soon.

So far, deactivating all of the plugins didn’t work, nor did changing the theme. I’ll try to figure out the other two suggestions you made soon.

It didn’t work. I’m unable to see it when logged out and when I log back in it says Missed Schedule. Looks like it’s time to see if the plugins are to blame.

Good point. Thank you for clarifying that it’s deactivating, not deleting the plugins. That makes sense now.

I don’t know if anyone is visiting my blog right this minute. It’s live, so anyone can visit it. Even if I’m logged off, the scheduled posts don’t appear unless I log back in and then manually update them after they should have been published. Very odd.

I don’t mean to offend. I’m just no tech wizard. I’ll talk to someone who knows this stuff better than I do and try to safely do what you suggested.

My next blog post is scheduled for Wednesday morning, so I can check it then.

Much of that sounds a little beyond my comprehension at this point. I hesitate to remove all of the plugins for fear of breaking anything or losing my settings.

I just updated all of the ones that needed updating after getting your response. It turns out there were several that were old versions. I don’t know if that will resolve the problem, though.
