In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Contact Form 7 not sending emails- no confirmation, no errorIt’s possible our anti-spam measures at DreamHost are causing problems.
You can fix CF7 with the WP SMTP plugin: https://elftest.net/contact-form-7-and-anti-spam/

In reply to: Registrating For WebsiteLast week we had some email drama over at DreamHost, but those should all be resolved by now. Normally the memory issues wouldn’t impact your email, but in your case, it’s preventing WP from sending the email.
You’re definitely having memory issues with WP on your account, though. A couple things jumped out at me.
You have caching defined in your wp-config, but you’re not actually using any caching plugins. You also have wordpress-mu-secure-invites installed, but you’re not using Multisite, and this could cause issues.
I would go through and remove any plugins I don’t have to use to see if that helps out a little. After that, I’d install WP Super Cache and see if that helps any. Finally I’d change PHP to 5.3 Fast CGI (you can do that in your Panel, go to Domains and then Edit the domain. PHP changes are on that page.)

In reply to: Website & Admin Page Not Loading 3.4.2 – please help!Hi, Jasline.
I took a look at your site and I see you have W3TC installed and active, but it’s not actually running. You can tell by looking at the source code of your site and check the HTML comment at the bottom of the page. Are you sure it’s configured correctly?

In reply to: Domain redirecting even after uninstalling WPI also see no redirection.
Christine is right, though. The site isn’t using WordPress, so there’s little the WP Gurus can do for you. If you want to open a support ticket, or post in https://discussion.dreamhost.com, we can take a look at it ??

In reply to: Contact Form 7 issues in WordPress 3.4.1should i host my site for contact form 7 to work..?
When you said that, esmi and I thought you meant WordPress.com, since that’s the common alternative to ‘hosting’ your site.
If you’re not using your dreamhost email (that is if your site is example.com, and you’re not using [email protected] as your email), then our anti-spam measures won’t send the email.

In reply to: Contact Form 7 issues in WordPress 3.4.1WordPress.com has a built in version of the contact form found in Jetpack, just FYI.

In reply to: RSS Feed will not validate – Podcast not uploading to iTunesIt was probably a server cache gone wild. Not as much fun as it sounds. If it happens again, open a support ticket, and we;ll take a deep look into it for you.

In reply to: RSS Feed will not validate – Podcast not uploading to iTunesI’d guess the speed is directly related to the lack of caching, though it looks like caching is sort of working.
You have the .htaccess working now ?? (If you open your .htaccess file you can see it), so the only thing I would do now would be to turn off WP SuperCache and then turning back on again. That should give you any errors with regards to setup.
By the way, if you’re using Jetpack for stats, you don’t need WP Stats. They’re the same thing, only Jetpack gets updates and WP Stats doesn’t.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] deployment creates blank pagesIt shouldn’t.
If you reactivate it, go make sure it puts the htaccess lines in. That could easily cause that problem ??
The other possibility is you have a plugin conflict.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] deployment creates blank pagesWhen you turned on W3TC, did it update your .htaccess? I took a look and it just has the standard WP lines.

In reply to: WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com Help! You seem to have sorted this out a little…
Do you need more help getting set up with DreamHost?
You don’t have to transfer the domain, you can just change the NameServers to point to DreamHost. Transfering means moving the DNS records somewhere else, and is separate from changing where your domain name points to ??

In reply to: RSS Feed will not validate – Podcast not uploading to iTunesJon, I’m sorry you’re having all this trouble after we repaired your server.
I went and took a look, and your site is running rather slowly, and has this error at the top:
Warning: Missing argument 2 for WP_Widget::__construct(), called in /home/jonhart/secretlytimid.com/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 324 and defined in /home/jonhart/secretlytimid.com/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 93
This is causing the slowness, as it’s breaking WP Super Cache. Given that your theme is TwentyEleven, I would suspect one of your plugins is causing this. You’ll need to turn them off and then back on, one at a time, to see who the annoying one is. Of course, since all this worked before, it’s very likely just turning them all off and then back on will magically work. It’s like a reboot.
BTW, when I looked at your .htaccess, you don’t have the pretty permalink rules, so if you’re trying to go to the https://www.example.com/feed/ URL, it won’t work.
I do see the Podcast URL on your sidebar uses this:
https://www.secretlytimid.com/?feed=podcastThat should be this (unless the podcasting plugin makes an alias for you)

In reply to: WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com. Did I do this properly?Kevin, it’s totally legal and okay to do what you did ??
You can move your website to any host you want, and WordPress.com is just that – a web host. Transferring your domain to DreamHost (or anyone else) is not only legal, but encouraged if you can’t find the right fit.
If you need any help with your site on DreamHost, let us know. We’re happy to help you out.
You’re welcome ?? If you have any questions, feel free to ask our totally amazing support ??
Yes, but you may find the speed/memory of our standard shared hosting won’t be enough if you get a lot of traffic.
MultiSite doesn’t really use more memory/CPU than Single Site, but for every site you run, you really are running another site. So if you have 10 sites on your Network, it’s very much like running ten separate sites, when it comes to server usage. This means that while we do offer unlimited, you should read this: https://dreamhost.com/unlimited-policy/
The important part is here:
What we mean is, you don’t have to worry about disk storage or network transfer when your site gets popular.
You DO still have to worry about plenty of other things though… if your site isn’t well optimized and is causing issues for others on your shared server (either because it’s pounding the CPU, hogging RAM, or doing tons of disk I/O), you may be asked to sign up for your own DreamHost Private Server.
Trust us, every host out there has exactly the same limitations… we’re just trying to be up front about them!
BuddyPress networks have a tendency to hit those pain points faster than ‘normal’ WordPress sites, or even a normal Multisite.
Can you install it on Shared Hosting? Of course! ?? You just may find yourself asked to move to a VPS if you get big.
