In my case every option is set to https, additional iThemes Security urges everything to use https.

I fixed it now, by deleting the protocol in the site_url call:

// Ensure we have a valid URL, not a file path
$file_path = str_replace( ABSPATH, site_url( ‘/’, ‘http’ ), $file_path );

to

// Ensure we have a valid URL, not a file path
$file_path = str_replace( ABSPATH, site_url( ‘/’ ), $file_path );

That worked like a charm.

A download in Chrome provides this error:

Mixed Content: The site at 'https://www.TLD.de/' was loaded over a secure connection, but the file at 'https://www.TLD.de/DL/Vorlagen/Briefe_alle_Unternehmen/Media.docx' was redirected through an insecure connection. This file should be served over HTTPS. This download has been blocked. See https://blog.chromium.org/2020/02/protecting-users-from-insecure.html for more details.

Unfortunaltly this is only an intranet site, so I can’t share links.

According to our tech staff this is said to be a plugin issue.

Same to me.
And I think it should test, if Autoptimize is activated.

unfortunately I deleted the log, but iirc there were only four files logged with the wrong type (I think PDFs).

when I activate it again, that site will break again.
I’ve to clone it first for further investigations.

hi Alex,

I played a while with the minify settings as the page isn’t accessable from outside the comp. network.
I’ve to precise myself: after some serious cache purging the html is rendered compressed. inline css in wp_head() and the header.php itself stays uncompressed, until I activate aggregate CSS-files. the same to some inline scripts. unfortunately their functionality stops after that.

when I click to optimize the spinner is spinning but nothing else happend so I let it go over night.

I tried this before and it was an bad idea, ’cause now Backwpup can’t do backups any more cause the folder configuration is false.
emptying that field leads to an simple / (and the root will never work).

I also tried a new job, if that might be your next advice… same same.

I think I’ll degrade the plugin to 3.3.7, that worked fine.

as I mentioned before: I did hitting save. saveral times. no difference.

and since the last update the number differs with every job, with your example the second job will get backwpup_00311d02_ and so on.
that will at least keep the old backups so one will have to delete them manually.

yes, I deleted the old backup files and started the job several times, just to see that the new backup files a piling up again.

nope. new ones are added as described.

addition: since v. 3.4.0 the filenaming has changed, probably according to the order of the job number.

it’s not an issue to one.com it must be related to the last update. all my installations on various servers are filling up the diskspace since the update.. annoying.
