In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] Specify recipient of emailed formHi,
Without more information about what you are setting up and how, it’s tough for me to help.
I think I have been quite clear about what I want to do. I do not understand why you say you need more information. My suspicion here is that you do not understand what I have outlined. That you are not familiar with CPTs’, custom fields, etc. If you are not familiar, just say so, do not say that I have not provided enough info.
this is a pretty cool application.
Not sure why you would say this when you say you do not know my application (because you say you dont have enough info) or as I believe, you do not understand my application.
My first thought is that you want to use a magic tag to pull off an author (user ID) email address
Here I must say that I do not think you are listening/reading/paying attention, and/or you do not understand WP well enough, because I clearly say in my original post:
It is NOT the email address of the author’s wp account email (in their profile).
And:
You could do this if you are a developer, have your developer do it, or contract someone on a website like upwork.com to do it, using our developer documentation (https://calderaforms.com/category/actions/).
Whether I am a dev, have a dev, or contract it out, I or they still need to know if this can be done, and if so, how.
Just to point me to the Actions archive is really no help, because I was already aware of it, and it has many actions. It would have been helpful if you at least pointed out which action would need to be used. If not also, how.
But my suspicion here is that again you do not know, so you are just sending me away to the docs, which is not providing any real help.
This, plus the fact that you respond about 1 month after my post, gives me the impression Caldera is not up to being able to support customers properly.
I have posed the same question to other form plugins and got a response with a day or 2, and they were able provide specific info as to how to do this. Or they told me it could not be done. Either way, it is helpful.
BTW already about 3 weeks ago, I selected another plugin.
When you say:
Thanks for using Caldera Forms
I was doing an evaluation of plugins. I was not using Caldera, I was evaluating it. You lost a potential client 3 weeks ago. I think it is important for you to know this so that you understand what part of the sales cycle I was in. That not responding for a month, and resonding in this manner, will lead to lost sales.
After your post, I do not know a single piece more information, that would allow me to understand if Caldera can do this, and how.
And BTW, you marking this as Resolved is IMHO entirely incorrect.

In reply to: [PayPal Framework] Is this plugin still being supported?I will assume in 1) not having gotten an answer to my question above, and 2) that the last support response to other issues was 1 year and 3 months ago, that the plugin is not being supported.

In reply to: [WPUpper Share Buttons] How to make icons non-tranparent?I tried that and it changes the color of the button, not the “f”.
There must be a way to set this?
Out of all the other sharing plugins that I evaluated, all of them set this to white by default, not transparent…..

In reply to: [Social Sharing Plugin - Sassy Social Share] Remove options to show interfaceThanks for getting back to me ?? and providing a work around.
I appreciate that this may be a feature that some users want, but for me it is a very undesired feature. It currently allows non-admin users to choose whether or not sharing icons should be shown, and I dont see many cases where non-admin users should be allowed to do this…..
Please consider making this an option in the settings of the plugin.

In reply to: [Contact Form & SMTP Plugin for WordPress by PirateForms] How to use actionsHi, I will have a form attached to a custom post type template, and one field in each entry of the custom post type will contain a unique email address that should be the recipient for the form contents to be emailed to.
So for each sending of a form contents, I need to get the email address from the custom field, and set the recipients of the emailed form contents to this address (programmatically).
For this to be possible, the post id of the custom post type entry needs to be available in the form’s action/filter/hook.
Thanks!

Hi, I really really appreciate you taking the time to outline a solution.
To be honest though, I have found a plugin that has filters that can handle this with some relatively simple php code, and so I have chosen to go that route.
I feel bad that you have taken this time to outline your solution and I wont be using it, but I will keep it in mind for the future.
Thanks again.
