I’m using Chaplin theme too and I may have find a tweak for using a cover on the blog page.
In the theme personalization menu, let ‘default blog page’ empty.
Then on a ‘classic’ page insert a ‘last article’ block
Finnaly set the image and the cover mode
It should work, but I don’t know how it will work with lots of article since I haven’t write article yet. I don’t know either if it will impact SEO.
