I have pages [ main / music / sketchbook ]
i have posts categorized with ‘music’ and ‘sketchbook’

how do i direct certain posts to certain pages?

i know i can click on a category to see that archive…
can i reconfigure the archive as a page with a title and appropriate url??

mine is self-hosted, inordinates.com/blog

so, to resolve this

in the Admin > Settings > Discussion panel

if I uncheck the option that says:
‘Before a comment appears’ : ‘An administrator must always approve the comment’

some comments might appear without me moderating/approving them?
specifically (given the following options)
– all comments with less than the stipulated number of links
– all comments from users with previously approved comments

if that initial box is unchecked
– what about registered WP.com users’ comments?
– what about random folks who comment and provide name/email?

instead of going through every single post to change the privacy setting in the ‘status’ dropdown to ‘private’

you can batch edit page-fulls of posts from your dashboard
– access the Posts index and select all posts
– from ‘bulk options’ pick ‘edit’, and apply
– change the privacy setting in the ‘status’ dropdown to ‘private’
(you can edit how many ‘posts per page’ in the index under’screen options’ to increase the batch count)

how to make all posts private+password, not sure, that thing is confusing… is that password-protection so that permitted others can access special viewing of my blog?? or is it like only my ‘friends’ on Livejournal can view certain posts when logged into Livejournal??
