Thanks for the reply. The mini cart block is working fine. I want to create my own one with a different icon but its seeming very difficult. There seems to be no way to change the mini cart icon which I find surprising. Do you know of any way ?

Infact it still does it when overwriting current theme. It seems like it doesnt create the assets/images folder when overwriting the current theme.
